WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but in the recent years I have been moving and living in different countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to the nature of my work. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

This is one of the reasons why Siti is so special to us. She can sing any genre, from any era (these 3 songs are from the 60s), without jeopardizing the original feels and vibes. Some singers are good at 1 or 2 things, Siti is just a well-rounded singer.

Buloh Inn is a name of night club featured in P. Ramlee's movie titled "Labu dan Labi." All the songs in Siti's medley in this video are taken from P. Ramlee's 3 different movies. In order of the medley songs, the movies were - "Labu dan Labi", "Nasib Do Re Mi", "Tiga Abdul". You might want to Google P. Ramlee (who wrote all the songs and directed all the said movies) and also Saloma (who sang the first 2 songs from Siti's medley in this video)

All 3 songs are iconic to us Malaysians. The first two are Saloma’s and the last one is P.Ramlee’s. All were released in early 60s. This performance is from Siti’s concert in 2008, it’s a tribute concert to P.Ramlee and Saloma.

P Ramlee had potrait Saloma sang her songs at Buloh Inn in the film Do Re Mi. It stick in the minds of Malaysian and the scene became iconic.

Buloh Inn actually a name that refer to a nightclub place for 1 of Late's P.Ramlee movie(forgot which movie)... This medley was from DS Siti concert in 2007 and it was a tribute concert for the Late's Tan Sri P.Ramlee and the Late's Puan Sri Saloma... Most of the song in this concert was originally featured in most Late's P.Ramlee movies...

Wow nephy luv ur malay!tiru gaya saloma a song bird im d 40s till 60s i think.tok ti imitated saloma n keot d melody of that era n vibes. Concert in tribute to p ramlee n saloma f im not mistaken. Correct me. That way saloma's style xcept for d lasr song it was p tamlee's song. The two legends were husband n wife. Specialtty of tok ti she can go back to watever era n brings d vibes of any eta.i really luv f she covers such clasdic song n with such vibes.i wish she will hv an album with such concept

OMG. I just rewatched this concert yesterday ! I was thinking, Nephi needs to react to all these songs; and here you are reacting to it 😁. It was from Konsert Istana Cinta, held in 2007. A tribute to Tan Sri P. Ramlee & Puan Sri Saloma ❤.
