What happens when you rush to market. Should have got a few quality issues dealt with before full on production.
  • @e-economy-
Love that you are wearing the Aptera glasses 👓
  • @Salanan
I'm not even a minute in yet.... I can't believe they're letting a broken one sit on their showroom floor.
  • @MrVeeBlog
I still hope they can figure this out. I have an EV and i still really like the Fisker Ocean.
  • @RivMike205
What could go wrong? A low price, but is it a good price? Not for the risk adverse.
  • @Boomtendo4tw
Its more attractive and has more features than tesla. Hopefully they stick around
  • @X139T
The singular thing I like about the Fisker is that floating individual tactile button module they installed in the center console separate from the screen that’s cool. All cars should have that other than that to the junkyard.
  • @alatmancave7093
Well if 100 YouTubers a day like you two sit in a Tesla and play with the parts and open and close them things in Tesla will be lose too ,that's why you can buy a demo car cheaper than a new one because things in have been used many times by bunch of people who have no intention of buying them

    * FSRN.. Fisker..April 2024 should be Fisker Ocean's best month of sales.. Ocean now holds the 1st calendar year EV production record of over 10,000 Ocean EVs produced in 2023.. Tesla 1st calendar yr was 2,600 model Y's.. the 1st Full yr production record is 12,700 model Y's.. Fisker Ocean at 12,000 approx and could surpass Tesla when production resumes in May. Thumbs Up video/ comments.. Thanks.

"It's like a plane... a plane made by Boeing." Oof! 🤣🤣🤣

the 25 k does not have the battery or power of the one you tested. The solar are fine for keeping battery fully charged when cooling the cabin or long time parking.
  • @NxTRedemption
You was with Ken. He’s a nice guy and is very helpful.

I've said the same about Fisker making their software open source. Especially given that software plays such a critical part of EVs (i.e., Software Defined Vehicles), I think open sourcing the software would help address some of the valid concerns that people have about buying the remaining current generation of Fiskers Oceans. Granted software is only one of the key concerns that would need to be addressed. There is the hardware and service components. I've been told that the Fisker software is built on top of the TomTom's Digital Cockpit Platform and it uses the Magna Steyr subsystem software (UI talks to the car's subsystem module software to control the vehicle functions). I assume that Fisker used the off-the-shelf TomTom Application Plugins and customized them a bit for look and feel. And that in some cases they may have created some of their own custom App plugins (e.g., the solar software). The TomTom Cockpit Platform is a modular architecture that appears to be well documented with Open APIs to facilitate the creation of these custom App plugins. I would need to speak with a Fisker Software engineer to fully understand how much of their software is actually customized/styled TomTom Software vs how much might be Fisker developed plugins or Fisker developed from the ground up. I suspect that 80% is the former. Clearly Fisker had to integrate/adapt the TomTom Digital Cockpit Platform so that it could communicate with the the Oceans subsystem software (i.e, Magna Steyr subsystem software). I suspect that Magna's subsystem software supports standard APIs so that Applications can communicate to them and I believe TomTom offers open APIs to allow the Application Plugins to communicate with the Car's subsystem. With all of that said I suspect that the Fisker custom developed software might actually might be a small portion of the overall software used in the Fisker Ocean today and if they were willing to open source that software it would feasible for a small community of people to support and possibly extend the Fisker software.

The more I watch Americans in this car the more I realise that fisker made this for Europe. The cup holder sizers was a big give away here and in another video someone commented "no glove compartment to store your gun" Lol, such American things

December 2011, Fisker Automotive recalled the first 239 Karmas delivered to the U.S. due to a risk of battery fire caused by coolant leak. Of the 239 cars, less than fifty had been delivered to customers, the rest were in dealerships. In the report filed by Fisker Automotive with the NHTSA, the carmaker said some hose clamps were not properly positioned, which could allow a coolant leak and an electrical short could possibly occur if coolant enters the battery compartment, causing a thermal event within the battery, including a possible fire.[51] In May 2012 a Fisker Karma was involved in a home fire that also burnt two other cars in Fort Bend County, Texas. The chief fire investigator said the Karma was the origin of the fire that spread to the house, but the exact cause is still unknown

Perfect example. Look at polestar. The polestar 3 got delayed almost a full year. The stock got hammered due to this. BUT that’s the right thing to do for their customers. Now when the polestar 3 launches it should be a flawless event. Let’s see. Mine is due to me of July. Can’t wait!

This reminds me of toys that my kids would get 20-30 mins play before breaking.
