Friendliest Cat Ever!

An update from the future: Her name was Athena, and she would approach anyone who was willing to give her the time of day. She was well loved by her owner and everyone in the neighborhood. Goodest kitty 10/10 edit and worthy note: Athena was around 5-8 years old at the time this was recorded. Her owners lived at that house for several years before moving away (both active duty military). They left not long after this video and Athena went with them. Whether she has moved on or is in some other neighborhood, I'm sure she hasn't changed a bit!

What a sweet kitty! There's a little gray tabby cat in my neighborhood who acts like this. She absolutely loves people, and it's always hard for me to leave her. (She's owned, that's why I didn't take her home. If she was a stray I definitely would have because I love affectionate, cuddly cats!)

I met this cat's doppelgänger on a walk thru my old neighborhood: a chonky calico, but a little smaller. Believe it or not, she was friendlier than this one. As I walked by my old house, she sat calmly, watching politely as I approached. All I said was, "Hey, kitty!" in my ridiculous, high-pitched voice I use toward all cats. She immediately trotted to me meowing, plopped down sideways on my feet and started nuzzling them nonstop. I leaned down to pet her exposed belly. She continued nuzzling my feet, all the while meowing and purring. As I walked along, she followed me, plopping on my feet every time I stopped to pet her. She followed me the whole length of sidewalk in front of her house until I got to the property line where she obediently stopped and watched as I told her bye. Friendliest cat I ever met.🐈

There's a cat that looks exactly like this near our local Tesco. She's there everyday, all day, and a bus stop nearby too. Such a friendly chubby cat :)
