As a kid I never really knew how to play this game, all I did was swim the river surrounding the Castle and called it a good day.

This game was a magical experience in 1996 and is still a platforming masterpiece today.

It doesn’t matter how many years pass by or how many games have been released since ‘96, this one will ALWAYS be incredible.

I have the strangest nostalgic urge to go hook up my N64 and play this game from the beginning again. Anyone else??

Just watching this brought back so many memories. This was the first game I owned. It’s crazy, I’m in my 30s now, but I still remember a lot about this game. My older brother and I would play for hours trying to beat it lol. I’ll always cherish and remember those days.

As I write this, NintendoofAmerica just posted on their Twitter that Charles Martinet is officially done as Mario's voice actor. His voice will forever be remembered as THE Mario voice.

Man the nostalgia! The music and everything. I remember feeling like this game was totally groundbreaking, like nothing I'd played before
