2:54 If I had to make an educated guess, Marvel was most likely given a style guide along with a set list of names of skins they could not portray due to legal reasons or comic code authority. It's most likely they where asked to recite the season 9 live event, they didn't see the monster as a asset they where permitted or didn't have reference in the style guide, and to avoid legal issues made a generic monster to use.

A lot of fortnite guns come from their older game unreal tournament. Use to play that when it was a PC only game. They also did not have a item shop. You could load custom skins into the game and not get in trouble

I know this is off topic but: The ability to shoot through the shield as a teammate is most likely intensional and isn’t that game breaking it is a common thing in other games and it makes a lot of sense
