The move combining thing makes a lot of sense when you consider that the third gen anime involved lots of move combinations in contests. Heck, there’s also the Thunder Armor.
-
I always wondered why Eevee didn’t evolve into Espeon and Umbreon through the Sun and Moon stones, respectively
-
"there was a possibility of being able to buy pokemon... Only remnant of it is the pokemon you can buy with coins in the game corner" Magikarp salesman: am I a joke to you?
-
I remember playing B&W2 and being absolutely CONVINCED that my data from B&W would connect and I’d have to battle “Hilda” and my original team after going through the elite four. I also remember how disappointed I was when I discovered that was definitely not the case 😭

This brings new light to the fact that a consistent trend with the games is "Getting better" means "Making it more like the anime." ... turns out it's been backwards the whole time, the reason the anime has so many extra features the games say nothing about is that the anime is using cut content.
-
“Mirage monsters” gives a new meaning to that Pokémon special with mewtwo called the mastermind of mirage Pokémon
-
I’m VERY curious as to why Umbreon would have evolved with the POISON stone. Was Umbreon originally meant to be a Poison-type Eeveelution?
-
Combining moves would've been cool for double battles.. sort of like the combo moves in chrono trigger
-
The one thing I found out that still shakes me up is that in Japan Green is actually named blue and blue is named green. The reason it's red and blue for the trainers in the US is because we got red and blue versions while Japan got red and green

13:10 Technically, the featute does actually exist in the Pledge moves. They boost in power in doubles if two different types are used together, and you can get side effects from said moves being used together, Like Water and Grassy Pledge making a Swampy Land(?) for the opposing pokemon, slowing them down to a quarter of their speed, even in generation 8. Tailwind doesn’t even manage to negate the speed drop, which in itself says it all.
-
They should've let us battle Peonia...I always felt like there was no point to her character, you literally could've done everything without her even being in the game at all. Like instead of her getting mad at her dad after you do all the adventures she gets mad at you thinking like a child and being like "You're trying to steal my dad!" or something and battles you in response. Which would show a more childish side to her but also showed that she did want to spend time with her dad just at her own pace.

I wish the Travel Trunk was added even if the concept is a bit awkward changing clothes out in the open. They did add it in Let’s go but still
-
I think the rainbow thing might just be testing textures for different games like red yellow blue and asian green
-
Even before the badges and belts of Red and Green, the player would actually upgrade his whip after defeating each gym leader, which is what allowed them to command increasingly stronger pokemon.
-
This is interesting. I would've liked to have seen the travel trunk to change clothes anywhere anytime. It would also be interesting to have a travel sized healing station similar to a backpack so you can heal your Pokémon anytime
-
7:52, we can also see some remnants of this in pokemon adventures, gold uses a skateboard(later turned to scooter) to get around, much like how red used his bike to get around in pokemon adventures
-
altering cave actually was fully implemented and is still entirely functional, but the triggers meant to activate it were never used, e reader cards and/or event distributions would have been the way but were ultimately never actually used
-
When you realize that Iris had to beat Hilda/Hilbert to become the true Unova Champion as seen in Black and White 2
-
Only the devil knows why someone wanted a "Tickle stick" and "proof of adulthood"!!!
-
4:34 they probably changed this, because it would be too similar to Megami Tensei/Shin Megami Tensei demon recruiting mechanic
