Ranking Every Mario Kart Retro Track that Hasn't Been Remade Yet

Mario Kart courses like Waluigi Pinball, Maple Treeway, Daisy Cruiser, and so on are beloved by the fanbase mostly due to their appeal and fun gameplay. But some of that comes from the fact that they appear in multiple games, so it reaches out toward fans of different games. Which also means that courses that have only appeared in their debut game aren't nearly as popular.

So in this video, I review each of these courses that are underlooked by Nintendo, and decide whether I think they deserve getting remade in the next Mario Kart game, or if they deserve to be ignored.

I’m not including the Mario Kart 8 tracks because mk8 is the most recent mainline game, so none of them are considered “retro” tracks.

I thought these were obvious but apparently not: 1) No i don’t count super circuit’s “remakes” of the snes tracks 2) No i don’t count the arcade tracks I left them out for a reason, I didn’t just forget lol 3) I literally explain why I don’t count mk8 tracks in the video just… please enjoy the video and try not to overthink stuff pls But anyways, WOWEE thanks for all the support with this new video, haven’t a video take off in a long time!

TOADS FACTORY NOT BEING REMADE IS A CRIME.
  • tbh Wario Colosseum is a “love it or hate it” track and i’m on the love it side

It genuinely pisses me off that they didn't put DS Rainbow Road in the Booster Course Pack because the loop-de-loop and corkscrew were BEGGING to get the anti-gravity treatment
  • Actually, I think turning that dead end in SNES Bowser Castle 2 into a Glider Ramp shortcut would be neat.
  • I’ve read that Mario Circuit 3 was the first Mario Kart course developed, so perhaps it’s an inside developer idea of that course being the important one of the Mario Circuits.

Fun fact: The Reason PM64's Bowser's Castle is in GBA Rainbow Road is because Super Circuit was developed by the same team.
  • I think that Wario Colosseum could be a perfect track to include in the base roster of the next game. The wavy and twisty nature of the track could make for interesting anti-gravity sections.

i'll be happy if GBA Sky Garden gets a proper faithful remake

I will defend broken pier with my life, this is one of my favorite Mario kart tracks and a remake is all I need to rest in peace, FIGHT ME.

I feel like Tour remakes kinda muddle things up here because although they technically count, they are only offered for a limited time and not many people are given the opportunity to experience them. I know I haven’t, so I still wonder about these other tracks. Also, you forgot to mention the Mario Kart Tour track Piranha Pipeline.

The 3DS Wuhu Island tracks should be remade ASAP, those were so good even without using the lenses of nostalgia.
  • @GeoDeo
I’m so glad that you used the definitive Mushroom Bridge/City theme, I love that remix so much and it sucks that no one nowadays seems to know it
  • @FishVirus
god we TOTALLY need the wuhu island maps back 😭
  • @SpiltMySquash
4:37 erm akshully, you can make it with the feather ermm skill issue 🤓☝️ Seriously though, the fact that particular shortcut is only possible with an item that hasn't been brought back yet(8dx battle mode doesn't count) is so fascinating to m

I certainly wouldnt call broken pier the most forgotten or bad, I think it's got some cool stuff like the mountain and the invisible paths and whatnot. I've seen it get pretty decent reception (and a lot of custom tracks for whatever that's worth)
