  • So intimate....so universal. Mozart validates humanity. He is as good a reason for our existence as we will ever have. I cannot imagine my life without him. And what an elegant performance.

This is my favourite of all of Mozart's piano concertos. I grew up in a household where Classical music (including Opera), Choral, Swing and Jazz were played in equal measure. My parents even embraced Rock 'n Roll and, later, Rock music when I was in my mid to late teens. We watched very little television but there was always oodles of music of all the genres I mentioned, so I feel my sister and I were truly blessed.
  • Quote by Einstein-"Mozart's music was ever present in the universe waiting to be discovered by the Master"
  • It's scary to think that he would have topped this concerto had he lived longer !!! There WILL NEVER BE another Mozart .

There is no composer greater than W A Mozart. The Larghetto has moments of such sublime, tranquil beauty that one seems for a moment to transcend the world and to gaze on Plato's perfect realm of Forms. Only music can do this and only Mozart's music does in regularly.
  • This is so beautiful - how amazing that it reaches across more than two centuries to touch my soul.

All Mozarts piano concertos are wonderful; some are spectacular masterpieces. It is too difficult to list them - I adore k466, 459, 271, 467, 491, 488 etc but if I just had to choose ONE....it would be k595. It is a marvel. Top of the tops of genius.

The height of late 18th century elegance and sophistication in music making.
  • To think in a few years Justin Bieber will a fading memory but Mozart will live on and on.

I can hear the third movement all day long. That's the kind of melodies I'm glad my brain plays it for hours!

he wrote this to entertain his friends at a party . wow !! i wish i had friends like this !!!
  • I can't make a winner in beauty and intimacy between this Larghetto and Adagio of his Clarinet Concert, two very moving pieces. The late Mozart was in my opinion the most emotional composer of all times, despite people usually consider Romantic age as the era of musical romanticism.Mozart was ahead of his time and already put emotions into his pieces. The Master always on the top🔝

"Just as many notes as necessary." And every one clearly articulated and distinctly heard. A model performance. Thanks for posting.

Magic exists!  Mitsuko Uchida and the orchestra bring Mozart to life.
  • This is one of my very favorite CDs purchased many years ago ... and though my audio system is more than adequate I find this same CD, especially the piano, more in balance with the other instruments, listening on my iPad with decent earphones. Digital technology may turn us into emotionless zombies but not in this case, thanks to YouTube and whoever uploaded this wonderful group of concertos.
