So you just had a faulty unit and decided to go full on hating a company. Seems a bit unfair but maybe the views you get from those catchy thumbnails and titles, make it worth

Typhon style polysynth under 1k would be amazing indeed! I mean there was this murmux recently, but it was huge and not exactly cheap :) I have both typhon and nymphes and they are lovely
  • I lost the little respect I had for Behringer when they decided to troll an individual to the point of even doing a fake prototype product with the sole purpose of making fun of said person. Imagine if all the effort they invested into harrassing one person was focused towards QC....

When I discovered your channel a few months ago, I was kinda disappointed that you were featuring their products so much. Glad to hear you’re no longer doing that going forward.
  • Have you tried any of the newer polyend stuff with the synth engines? (Play+, Tracker+/mini) I find them quite good for how much those units cost.

OB-6 and Trigon-6 are made by the same manufacturer (the only one Sequential uses in the US), from most of the same parts, FYI

MY UB-Xa decided to corrupt all settings and patches for no reason... I managed to fix it resetting everything re uploading my patches/soundset running calibration 3 times. Hopefully won't happen again any time 'soon'.
  • Most Beringer review videos I see, the hosts begins with "Hi Uli, please don't sue me.". 🤣😂🤣😂
  • Argh am I gonna have to get rid of my pro 800 now... Really enjoy using that synth
  • Dreadbox nymph with better controlls, isn´t the murmux just like that?
  • I have a Behringer Model D since a couple of years back and it´s still great. I had a deepmind and it made a horrible background noise and I sold it, not a good synth. I have mixed feelings about Behringer, some products work very well and some pretty bad.
  • Thanks for this video! I'm relieved that i havent dipped my toes into Behringer products. I've also had an amazing experience with Sweetwater so far.
  • I don't think most equipment reviewed get played much, certainly new reviews of new products mean there is zero information on long term dependability. Most reviewers are not skilled keyboard musicians, I can tell just by the way they play. Compare this to me pounding away on a digital piano for years practicing my repertoire for solo acoustic piano concerts, and it is a night and day difference of dependability. Then there is reviewer skill at design, I kept looking at reviews for the Zoom MS70 CDR effects pedal, a very nice priced pedal, that had reviews all over the place contradicting each other. I had to buy one just to find out if was good. Turns out the presets were horrible for keyboards, but you go in and make your own and the pedal is great. So, for keyboards, recording, it is a great product for the price in that particular use, and I ran the pedal through aux loops on a mixer instead of DI-ing synths into it. That is our structure of YouTube today, even when you watch 50 reviews of the same product, you don't know much.

I think my Pro 3 is the best hybrid. But just my opinion. I remain neutral on Behringer, but I don't own anything from them. I hear enough about them to just not take the chance. Sadly, though, they are all actually made in China now, recently, even Moog. My Pro 3 had problems, day one. But they sent me a new main board, and it taken less than 15 minutes to swap it out. I wish it was that easy to repair my MOTIF, it taken 6 hours to repair a broken key on it. I literally had to take the whole thing apart to fix a key. I looked at my Pro 3 when I have it apart, and everything comes apart easily (it's a Pro 3 Special Editionm, BTW). I'm now eyeballing the Oberheim Teo 5.

I know a guy who has had 3 Behringer units fail, I might point him to this thread, let him tell his story, but he is none too pleased with the outcome of spending money on a brand that he has now lost as warranty is no longer available. He doesn't have a ton of money, I have known him for a long long time and think it's unfortunate that people are somehow sucked into buying from Behringer and thinking it's all sweet. If it wasn't for companies like Sweetwater or Thomman who really do go above and beyond for CS, there would be a lot more disgruntled customers being stuck with gear that they simply have wasted money on. I don't hate on companies, I just refuse to deal with them and move on, and I actually prefer supporting companies that innovate, not imitate.
