    Them old songs were what gave us black people hope and love for one another I am 70 and these took me back to when they had church amen we had to pat our feet to keep the rhyme no piano just pat your feet sisters getting up running up and down the church praising god

  • Yes Lord! This is the type of devotional I would hear my father sing early Sunday morning as he was preparing for church. I have been looking for somebody that can sing these and here you are. God Bless you sir.

  • We lost our Mom this year she was aged 98 & suffering from dementia; But when I played this for her She waved her hand!!! Boy keep on singing these songs we love & need them 😅Boy Be Blessed 🙏🙏🙏🙏

    When I was a child the old folk were singing these. Now I am the old folk and I now know why they could sing them the way they did !!!!!!!!
  • If you talking about Jesus, he’s a friend of mine. Yes Lord, I grew up on those songs….. I can see Mommy Pennie now, praising God at McKinney MB Church. I miss that type of singing and praising, yes Lord.sooooo many good memories.

  • This is church. These Hymns brings back memories that we don't hear now a days. This is what the church needs, songs that can move mountains ,heal ,deliver , destroy the enemy , protect and move the devil out!!!!!!!!! Amen somebody!

    Kids used to tell me they could hear my momma singing at the end of the block and made fun of me as a child, then I find myself a Deacon 40 years later singing the same songs LOL

    Took me waaaayy back to my baptist roots down in Mississippi. I miss the old time way. I'm 27 but I love those hymns. Miss those deacons praying and the mothers singing those songs.
