It's a tradition in some ethnic groups in Nigeria. If anyone dies in a river, the person will be buried near the river. This happens in the South East which I'm sure and south south. I've also seen it happen in Benue state which is a north central

The driver of the boat was driving recklessly, as confirmed by the Pope shortly before the ship capsized, causing the Pope to die. The driver must face charges of manslaughter. The Nigerian government needs to take action and address this issue
