The camera attachment to the helmet law was dropped Australia wide after a court case that cited a safety device. it was pretty much "Judge, when I have a near miss I can review the incident and figure out where to better position myself to avoid it in future."
  • @aaronbritt2025
The real reason most integrated turn signals are illegal isn't due to visibility. LED's are very bright and visible. It's because most states have laws about the distance between the signals. The right and left signals need to be far enough apart that it's clear which side they're on. From a distance, it can be hard to judge if it's the left or right signal when they're right next to each other like they are in an integrated tail light setup.

I personally think the LED under glow lighting is a good idea for night riding (as long as it stays 1 solid color & doesn't flash or strobe) because it makes the motorcycle more visible in the dark. If you can see the bike better the less like you are to hit the rider, right?
  • As a cop who was once a squid and now a cruiser and motocamp bro, we either dont care or know. Me? Most of the time I dont care. As long as you are riding safely and following the rules of the road, i dont much care about too many mods. The 1 I do care about is not being able to see your tag. However, i care SO MUCH MORE about cagers texting and driving
  • @SkylerB17
The reflectors are actually for when the bike is parked in the dark in a public space, or perhaps to simply be seen more easily from a side profile in general. Really kind of a specific law. Its the same for cars. I learned this when replacing the factory corner lights with built in reflectors on my 1990 Miata with aftermarket clear lens, LED lights with no reflectors. the website said theyre not street legal so i looked into it further. Also, in Pennsylvania, chassis lighting on bikes is legal but not on cars, because it allows the bikes to be seen more easily.

    1. Removing catalytic converter 2. Making your license plate harder to see 3. Removing turn signals 4. Removing mirrors 5. Removing reflectors 6. Colored lights 7. Attachments to helmets This guy's tone sounds like he wants an invisible bike that spews toxic gas and is easy to cause accidents with.

I live in Australia where almost everything is illegal. On my 650 I’ve had the restrictions removed, reflectors taken off, fender eliminator kit, colour changing under glow and a full black widow exhaust system with no baffles. If I’m gonna get caught it may as well be worth it
  • @Briansgate
Also have to remember that underglow kit laws vary from state to state. For instance, in NC, you can have them as long as they are a steady color, no breathing, pulsing or changing. And that steady color can't be red or blue. Yet in VA, underglow kits are not legal at all.
  • @joshuatheone3234
Ok I have the under glow for 1 main reason, But I dont have it pulsing or flickering, or changing colors. Literally the only reason I had it installed is so while im driving at night I know that I went the extra mile to make sure other drivers could see me instead of relying on the lights on the front and the small lights on the back. Because here lately, the 4wheelers are driving worse and worse. So to help put my family mind at ease and my own I had them installed.
  • @dingznthingz
I recently acquired a 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan S in exchange for a boat I never used. The first thing I did was to remove the sewing machine exhaust system and installed a CS Racing full exhaust. Removing the stock exhaust also removed the catalytic converter. The stock system is very heavy compared to the CS Racing exhaust. Never throw away or sell your factory exhaust system. Many motorcycle shops around my area won't buy or accept a motorcycle as a trade in without the factory exhaust system installed on the bike.
  • @TheMXer42
For the camera on helmet - that subject to court law, most of those are in place for manufacturers not consumers/users. A law Audit channel did a video on that a while back explaining the possible outcomes
  • @mickstafford456
Loud exhausts, and smaller than legal number (license) plates are something that the UK police like to issue tickets for. It is possible to remove the headlight from a bike, and for it to still be road legal. You can get something called a daytime MOT (Ministry of Transport Test). Which will allow you to ride your bike, normally a dirt bike, on the road during the hours of daylight only.
  • @Ardell804
I’ve lived & owned motorcycles in California for over 40 years, we’ve never had inspections on motorcycles unless it was totaled and you’re making it roadworthy again or it’s a new build.
  • @kylebyrd4396
I don't remember hearing it in the video, but there are some states out there that do require your turn signals to be a certain distance apart...I guess for visibility purposes and to distinguish it from your tail/brake light
  • @konradgreen2567
The law about not sticking sharp stuff to your helmet does have a good grounding in sense. Thats what took out Michael Schumacher. The accident he had wasn't actually that bad, the problem was his go-pro poked a hole in his lid.
  • @behrpalomo4479
Chassis LED are great. I agree they shouldn't be flashing, but there's nothing wrong with increasing visibility and I loved having them on the one bike I did this with, it looks fantastic.
  • @iwantmyvanback
Just got my first bike. Tail tidy was my first mod. Transferred the plate light and turn signals as well. Looking to try a slip on exhaust next.
