We gathered 3,000 players and put them on a map of the Earth to simulate civilization in Rust. There are no rules or guidelines for the players. They can claim territory, engage in politics, or if it comes down to it, start World Wars. With tons of players forming their countries, an over-arching story forms on the server.

Brazil’s entire story was literally the proverb: “The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel it’s warmth.”
  • @yaboicallme5174
2 minutes in, and USA invading Mexico already makes this 100x more realistic
  • OT was 100% a anti hero in this whole story. They fought good and evil battles. Its interesting how this all ended! I NEED MORE this was SO good! that speech from coco was incredible and actually gave me chills. Hope for more!
  • I loved that moment where we found out that OT were the ones who reached out to Brazil and the narrator explained "They became one" it warmed my heart to see Brazil get the support they deserve

"You guys killed my boy." "Brazil's coming." this sent shivers down my spine

This was a movie, and honestly, it perfected the Civilization simulation. And I rooted for Brazil, because they were underdogs, and who doesn't like an underdog? Beautiful movie, 10/10, and honestly to think this was just an event for charity, chef's kiss.

I like how Brazil and OT could not speak a single word to each other but were still able to have the strongest alliance in the server.

I just watched a 2 hour video about a game I’ve never played. Very well done.
  • Gotta say the 3 months of editing shines through in this video. I felt so invested the whole time and the way you captured this even was so well done! These in-game civilization experiments are my favorite videos on YouTube and so I really hope we see more from you because that was very well done! Held my interest all the way through the 2 hrs.
  • CoconutB’s way with words had ME ready to lay my life on the line

So where to begin? A lot happened at this event, many stories were made, and for the first time, the introduction of the Brazilian Rust community to the world. Seeing all the Brazilian streamers united in one team was an almost unattainable dream until this event happened. For the first time, we came together to represent an entire nation with one voice, putting aside our egos, we are still Brazilians, and we love representing our community when we stand together. The biggest surprise for all of us at this event was how amazing of a person you are FANCY, and how much you care for the community. You opened your arms to ours, and I want you to know once again that we were all very happy with how warmly we were welcomed by you and all the other creators at this event. Next year, we will come back stronger, more united, and as an even larger community. You can count on it, and maybe with sharper English skills 😆. Count on me always; I and all Brazilians are here for anything you need. 💚💛

I like that brazilian leader… he doesn't speak alota english, but he still speaks my language. "brazil's coming" and he really made it happen, now THAT is one of the peak moments going in the middle bit.

I cant believe how much work was put into this. Ive never played Rust, but ive play tons of other PVP survival/crafting/shooters.... I've never been so impressed with a community in a game being able to get together to do something this massive. MAD respect to everyone; The main characters and clans, to the unsung gatherers and builders who probably never saw any air time. You have my upmost respect because this was one of the best community videos Ive EVER watched. Well done to everyone! This was such a blast to watch and ill probably re watch it :D
  • @Memeio
FANCY you somehow managed to capture EVERY storyline in one action packed video 😳This was like 10 Rust Movies in 1 MY GOD - YOU'VE OUTDONE YOURSELF AGAIN WWWWW ❤

I don’t play video games. I haven’t for the last 7 years. I’m a software engineer & I clicked on this video thinking it was about optimizing code for high server throughput using the rust programming language. I just sat here from 5 am - 7 am watching the entire video. That was bloody awesome & the creator of this video is not a gamer, but a story teller and has a real future in the cinematic industry. The ability to capture such intricate story lines & show the nuances of characters, build empathy for different story archs - wow. What an amazing talent, bravo. Truly, I am glad that platforms such as YouTube are democratising the media industry in such interesting and creative ways. This was an awesome movie.

I usually watch long videos like this while playing a game, but the story, the way it was narrated and how it was edited I ended up watching the entire thing from start to finish in one sitting. This was a trip and dang was it a rollercoaster
