I find a RUSTIC beauty inside | a LITTLE house with lots to do | #15

Published 2024-06-14
Italy. My rustic Italian tiny house renovation in Le Marche region of central Italy in Europe. I attempt plastering a wall for the first time and expose an old stone wall to reveal beautiful original brickwork that will become a stand out feature of my open plan european style kitchen area. I tackle the overgrowth of the barns and attempt to save old trees from ants, bugs and weeds.

My solo DIY and self build rural farmhouse restoration continues. Simple expat living is the goal as I work on the middle section of the house to create a more comfortable living space. My new power tool comes in handy to remove old tiles and solid render as I peel back the layers to reveal what amazing bones my little farmhouse in the counrtyside has. There is no exploring Le Marche this week as the little time that I have off work is spent trying to catch up on the renovation and restorations.

Three Acres of Marche is my story and adventure as I renovate a cheap house in Italy. If you enjoy this content please join me by subscribing to my channel.

This is my fairly new channel which is all about my big plans to renovate an old disused rustic farmhouse that I purchased in rural Italy. I show you why I chose to buy a house in Italy and why I chose to live in the Marche region over places such as Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo and Puglia.

I watch Martijn’s videos but I don’t think you should copy him. I like the banter in your vids and the slightly chaotic approach.

Keep your videos the way they are….the longer format is great.
  • @Reet64
“I don’t mind a chat” had me chuckling! 😂 you also don’t mind hard work so it’s a good balance.

Keep rambling that's what makes you approachable..real😅
  • Found your facial expression with the bucket leaking priceless. As I was laughing and thinking to myself, Yup been there before. Thanks for sharing this journey!

Ah... the old.."I'm going for the rustic look" I like it, perfection is so over-rated!

I watch the Dutch guy and I watch you. I believe that people are attracted by honesty, rather than any specific form.
  • Really impressive the amount of backbreaking work you are acheiving on your property, no need to fret about getting it all done now, life is to live and the balance work / life is most important.
  • I enjoy your videos just they way they are. Authentic, no script, rumbling ect.

When making lots of dust in the home, I use what us yanks call a box fan and put it in the window with the fan blowing the air flow out side. It really keeps the dust moving out of the house. Looking good mate!

Heck no I like your rambling it makes your YouTube real and honest and not like the rest out there. Thanks for making my day a better one. Love it keep up the hard work my friend.
  • My wife and I love watching your journey. We enjoy your style and would hate to see you change your unique presentation for others. Make sure you continue enjoying creating and be true to yourself! ❤

Often we forget that the journey is the thing we remember not the arrival. You’re doing a great job and for every cut on your finger, blister on your hand and problem and headache because it feels like you’re not getting further, there is an end someday and it makes it all the more worthwhile. How do you eat a whale.. one bite at a time! Greets from Germany!
  • @kp7537
You are fab! Don’t change a thing!

I have been watching Martin for over a year. Actually watched when he first started his cabin, Love what he has achieved and his place looks great. Your videos are fine, I think Martin does his without talking because he is not a man of many words and thats fine. Do what you are comfortable with, people will follow.
