The reason the uniforms are wonky is because the Soviets slung a couple Katyushas into the Führerbunker laundromat and they’re wearing whatever they have that's still clean after a month of urban combat /s
  • Also, you should look at the bios for the other operators in vanguard, they just added a Canadian operator who was born in 1920...but served in ww1

22:15 i love how Polina is holding a pistol instead of her Mosin but the game shows her holding it like the Mosin because the Tokarev def has an invisible front grip

As a commenter from the Bougainville Mission breakdown, let me reiterate how the MG42 works. The MG42 is a short recoil operated machine gun. That means the bolt and barrel both move backwards a short distance while locked together, before the bolt unlocks, detaches from the barrel and continues on backwards to eject the spent brass and continue with the cycle. It has no gas system to speak of. The muzzle booster's function is to use gas pressure at the muzzle to help the locked bolt-and-barrel system overcome inertia and get the action moving and functioning. Without it, the recoil force of the fired round wouldn't be enough to both overcome the inertia of the bolt-and-barrel system and push the bolt back far enough to eject the fired round/strip a new round from the belt.
  • Ok, so things I missed/ got wrong Not a Makarov, that's a Tokarev. Still, Russian Knockoff of a western pistol with similar name so forgive me on that. G43 Mag is curved, why? How? I don't know. But it is. Also, for those of you not too familiar with world history. After the war ended, the USSR and Western Allies became enemies. And as Polina is a Special Operations sniper, she is most likely affiliated with the NKVD (Soviet Secret Police). Meaning that she would probably be ordered to inform on, kidnap or murder her comrades here once the conflict ends. Also, thank you to the gun nerds in the chat, I do planes not guns so your input is valuable. Quote from Boymahina123 "The MG42 is a short recoil operated machine gun. The really glaring error on Freisinger's uniform to me is that he doesn't have his shoulder boards with his rank, it looks like an incomplete uniform jacket with random medals someone just googled. Edit: It honestly kinda looked like they tried to copy Hitler's "style" and medals then pasted them onto an SS uniform with an old guard chevron and no shoulder boards .
  • @scarecrow2097
The funny thing with your characters is that they assume the reason why civilians are in danger is because Freisinger neglects them in the ruined subway cause "they aren't useful to him" and not because they are running away from the Soviets xD
  • @Tarnfalk
So I’ve flown a ton of flight sims since I was 16 and can usually ID a military aircraft at a brief glance. I honestly couldn’t tell what the C-47 was since my brain refused to believe that an unarmed transport plane would be flying over Berlin at night as the Soviets invade lol
  • 17:47 Fun fact in BFV the overheat animation for the mg42 includes swapping out the barrels! It's a pretty neat detail!
  • @tarnvedra9952
Love it! You can tell Wehrmacht is on its last legs since they ran out of red dots.
  • I dont like when games do the "chase down the big baddie but he has to be taken down alive because we need his info" only to then immediately kill them, especially if there's no choice between killing them or keeping them alive. It makes the whole chase portion completely pointless, especially if they fail you for shooting them during the chase. If the "correct" choice is to kill them let me do it whenever I can, not have a bombastic chase where we almost all die so we can "take them down alive with our own hands" then kill them anyway

For anyone who is interested, project Nova is the gas or chemical weapon in the first Black ops game.
  • Okay so… with the gold wound badge at 1:50. Those were given if you have been wounded a lot, lost multiple limbs or… lost your manhood. Now seeing as he doesn’t have any missing limbs or shows the effects of multiple wounds I think we can all agree why he’s got it

Kind of weird how you see unarmed male civilians running around in the Battle of Berlin, plus, the fact the squad isn't having to fight any Soviet troops or, having to dodge any Soviet aircraft as they fly out of Berlin. Cause the Soviet forces deliberately encircled Berlin to trap the Nazis in, and to keep the Western allies out.

I bet in this timeline the tiger’s transmission worked fine, the king tiger had plenty of spares, and the maus totally didn’t breakdown every 5 seconds
  • @timsellers4946
At 22:32, polina’s tokarev is floating, instead of being in the perfectly good holster on her right hip, shown half a second to a second later.
  • @place_there9104
The obvious anomaly is why the main Nazi shows the rank tabs of an SS second lieutenant and gets away with ordering officer's around with SS rank insignias that are all higher than his. Why go through all the trouble of going through all the details they did get right if they're going to do something that obviously stupid?
