  • Anybody else get a little joy in their heart when the old man said "they got me on Facebooks"

“And it got a fancy picture of my suspenders from the back” protect this old man at all costs😭

I’m a server, who recently went at war with my manager because an elderly man asked me for help taking his shrimp off the skewer on a busy Friday night & I did it, with a fork.. was told I was doing too much for our guests. This story reassures me never to stop going out of my way for people. You go girl! ❤️

If that man decided to not go out for dinner that day, she wouldn't have a scholarship, isn't that crazy.
  • You know the world is bad when things like this get big rewards congrats to her
  • @doreenathome
The act didn’t go viral because the world is so bad it went viral because SOMEONE ACTUALLY NOTICED. We live such busy lives we don’t notice the simple acts of kindness around us. She didn’t think of how busy the restaurant was (and how the other customers might yell at her for taking too long or tip her less) she just helped she deserves it.
  • Don't get me wrong, this is a nice story, and I'm glad she got the scholarship, but how insane is it that our society has so drastically devolved into anger, hate, apathy, and division that a very simple, easy act of kindness and cooperation goes viral?

Don't say the world needs more people like them. Instead, just be like them yourself
  • @Klara0014
He said, “They got me on the facebooks”
  • The crazy thing is that she got a scholarship for being NICE.... that is how we all should treat people. Cuz nowadays things like this is rare..
  • Man...just hearing her say "ready to order babe?" Puts a smile on my face. I'm very depressed and upset a lot. But hearing the loving words of older black women makes me smile. It makes me feel comforted.
  • @NAVIAHHHH
I love that she got her own day... like- when people celebrate it, do they say "Please take the extra time to spread some kindness"

"They got me on facebooks" protect this man and his fancy suspenders.

Good for her, but as she said herself. That’s a normal thing to do.

Be a good person, even when no one is seeing you, and good things will eventually come back to you. This is a quote from my culture. I believe the fact that there is more good people than the bad people. Wish you all healthy life.
  • Manners is the most important thing to instill in a child! Give respect and then you receive respect! This lass was well brought up and it deserves to be highlighted!
