Fun fact: The Sonic Classic Collection was actually made by a guy who made a homebrew genesis emulator, Sega contacted him and asked if they could comertialize the emu by making a sonic collection

Sonic Jam’s existence probably made more sense in Japan, where the Sega Saturn was way more popular, but ironically Sonic wasn’t a huge hit in that country, meaning Jam possibly could’ve been a lot of Japanese players’ introduction to Sonic

I would've loved a Sonic Advance Collection, those games deserve more love imo.
  • probably the most fun I had was with the Sonic Classic Collection, with Sonic 3 and Knuckles in particular. I had Super Tails, Hyper Sonic, and Super Knuckles because my younger self just couldn't be bothered to go back and get the Super Emeralds for the 3rd time I should really go back and finish it

I legitimately think it would be really interesting and even sell decently if they made a collection of all the meme-y sonic games, like Shadow the Hedgehog, 06, and Unleashed, to name a few.

Sonic Mega Collection was my first introduction to older Sonic games back then. And it had Ristar! And then Gems Collection which i wasn't that much into other than for Sonic CD. Maybe that's why i don't see value in Origins. I've gotten so spoiled with different Sonic collections that $40 for 3 genesis games and CD is too much.

I actually hate it when people talk negatively about the music of "Sonic R" because I personally think it's quite nice and catchy to listen and sing along to, and it also happens to be the very first game with actual lyrics in its music that I was able to hear at a young age (not counting the arcade versions of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Revolution X", of course).

The starting of the video made me so happy it is way too legendary

Taito Legends, and Capcom Classics Collection were also collections that had sequels. I know this because during that generation, I was that guy who was buying pretty much any compilation game that was put out there.

A good video, though Flicky isn't available at the start in any release of Sonic Mega Collection. Also, Sonic Gems Collection's aesthetic carries a bit from the Xbox/PS2/PC exclusive Sonic Mega Collection+, and those games are in Gems Collection to an extent; They can only be accessed through unlockable missions, and also they have a timer.

I always I asked myself if in the Sonic Mega Collection Japanese version they add Dr Robotnik mean bean machine or Puyo Puyo?

I must admit I’d like to give Sonic 06 a try considering I’ve tried Shadow the hedgehog. The latter was…ok. I mean I love the idea of multiple endings but…it felt so different controlling him compared to Sonic heroes😅
  • Sonic Classic Collection on the Nintendo DS was my first experience with Sonic the Hedgehog, God that was probably not a good experience
  • Conner: "I can't remember any collections that have a sequel." Megaman Legacy Collection: Megaman X Legacy Collection: Megaman Zero/ZX Legacy Collection: Super Mario All Stars:
  • Say what you will about Sonic R, but the soundtrack made me come back for more 🎵
  • @KingOfFire617
I have been waiting for sonic origins for a pretty long time now
  • You forgot Sonic's Pocket Adventure for Neo Geo Pocket Color, it was great. We don't talk about the Sonic Jam port to Tiger's GameCom
  • @Sjono
We need a collection of 3D Sonic games
