Many Metros are not serious about NCMC. For eg. Pune Metro directly refuses to add their services as operator to other NCMC Cards. They only allow their own HDFC NCMC One Pune Card to get commission and topup fees

There should be clear guidelines for public transport operators to accept other ncmc and add their services. Also awareness need to be made among public by banks as most of new debit cards issued are ncmc enabled

The only problem is that you have to register at the transport offices. If everything is online then it would have been easier. Even loading money is difficult sometimes. Korea has a similar system. We should learn from them.

It should be made mandatory by government to add ncmc support to all metro projects. Some stupid operators like pune metro do not still support NCMC cards and only support their co-branded hdfc cards. I visited and was shocked to see a new metro service not supporting ncmc cards!

Germany have 49 euro Deutschland ticket which is a digital monthly ticket and can be used to travel all over the germany using only local public transport options. This is very much convenient and India should follow the same approach.

The ticket machine used by best is same that used by mathura buses, thane buese, delhi buses, kerla buses, karnatka buses. I was shock to see how it possible how rapidly it shifted from paper ticket to machine ticket in rural area. In Mumbai these machine were started 6-7 year before but rapidly speeding.
