Excellent video! Great idea to backflush too. The proprietary 16" pleated sediment prefilters for my Kinetico system are close to 100 bucks each, so a quality cleaning process is absolutely necessary. Thanks for sharing!

Good idea to use an appropriate sump or filter housing. I was going to use a metal trash can.

Amazing amount of debits on those. Great info. I saw your review on Amazon. I plan to run dual 10” on a hand truck to pre filter the water going into an RO and then a de ionizer tank (both in hand truck also) for spot free car wash water stored in a tank. Since the RO wont flow enough for on demand.

If you re desing the plumbing you can add a discharge valve to literally clean using the water pressure on your home

We're not required to have a carbon filter. I just liked the idea of filtering out more. But cleaning and re-using sounds like the way to go.
