Will never forget and forever thankful of you, we lived through and survived ANDREW back in 1992, the only things we had was a small hand battery radio and your instructions, we made it sheltered in a very small space with our pets... Again, thank you!

Me. And my girlfriend got through hurricane Andrew with Brian Norcross on the radio. Tough night. Thanks Brian!

If it stays further off Tampa Bay, the winds may be stronger, as depicted as 50mph sustained, but the effects will still be less on Tampa/St. Petersburg, etc. residents because it's miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. If it comes into Tampa Bay at 35 mph, it's still not going to do anything but dump a lot of rain. So, either way, the Tampa Bay area looks like it'll be fine, unless you live in a flood-prone area close to the water. I'm in Gulfport, close to the water, but am on a rise from Boca Ciega Bay and several blocks. I'm not in a flood zone. Just be careful with not parking your car under the oak trees so you don't get a branch through your windshield.

Bryan Norcross one of the best meteorologists ever . Really hoping anywhere in Florida will have another peaceful hurricane season this year 2024 but with Tropical Strom Debby us on the East side of Florida most likely get heavy rains on and off or has happened before one part of Florida is full of sun the other part is being battered by heavy rain and a hurricane or tropical storm
  • Thank you Brian for your expertise explaining the situation with this particular storm. You and I met on the roof top in Miami at the international building 1982. it had all glass on the outside of the building. A green 🍏 signature window's. You were going to do a live feed from the roof Top. Ann Bishop was the lead reporter at WPLG 10. I remember telling you when you go live with Ann Bishop I said tell her I make you look good. And I did say don't Jump off the building we need you to keep South Florida informed when we happened to have a cat 5 Hurricane 🌀 so I saw ahead of time how You would become the Protector weather man during Hurricane Andrew. 🇺🇸🌀🙏👍🕵️

The funny thing is we get 35 mile an hour winds every night on the beach it's just normal
  • keep in mind that a few years ago the Cat 5 hurricane that hit Ft Myers/Naples was just a tropical storm when it crossed over Cuba. By the next morning it was a Cat 4. Get prepared. Waters near florida shoreline are HOT HOT HOT and shallow. Best of luck to everyone. take care

Don’t these guys get tired of underestimating how strong these storms develop. Get ready for it
  • @reneeg4817
I live in ft myers and I boarded up. Had trees cut down and food and water. Never know what's going to happen.
  • @kroxilpiv
why are you calling it a cyclone and not a depression or storm? thought that term wasnt really used in the atlantic.
  • I'm letting everybody know now you need to prepared like this is going to be a major hurricane I believe it will do not take this storm lightly
  • @foolio813
Definitely Punta Gorda again or Cedar Key. It’s their favorite spot 😮‍💨
