On my last few cruises I'm seeing this more and more. People going to things then not respecting the others around them or the people putting on the event. They just talk amongst themselves as loud as they want and could care less if they are disturbing others or the performers.

  • Doors should be closed prior to start of event. People who are rude should be told to leave.
  • @ldoiron18
Inconsiderate rude people are everywhere these days. Time to call them out when they misbehave.

Announcement around the ship 15 minutes before the start of the show: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. The theater doors will be closed in 5 minutes. At that time, no new persons will be permitted to enter the theater". PERIOD with complete enforcement!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • The doors to the shows should be closed and no one allowed in after the show begins. It's not fair to the audience or the performers to keep having late people interupt the show.

It’s not just on cruises. It’s everywhere. Many people do whatever they want without consideration for others. 😢

It’s so rude how people think they are special to annoy others, come in late, talk and then leave early???? Need ship monitoring to stop this!! Also. Cameras phones in my face! 😢
  • @Sadgran5472
It drives me crazy and it is extremely rude.

Don, You are sooooooooo right! I've gone crazy in a movie theater when a woman was talking non-stop to her husband throughout the movie's entirety. I am so old I remember when theaters had ushers that took their work seriously and would first caution such offenders, and on a second offense, would remove them from the theater forthwith. I miss those days...Nowadays, rude, crude, and socially unacceptable behavior pervades our society. Attending events early is the way to go, folks! Thanks Don!

Spot on! I went to see Justin Haywood a few weeks ago. Very acoustic show. 5 people sit right behind me just yapping at full voice, non-stop… I mean yelling so they could talk to the person 3 seats over. They clearly didn’t even know most of his music so it was not very important to them. I had to finally politely ask them to just stop talking. Well, that just resulted in them indirectly heckling me with each other.
  • I’m with you Don. I hate it when people talk when they should be quiet. It’s courtesy. Aren’t there usually ushers to keep an eye on things? They should hold people back until a natural break for example at the end of a song or dance routine. It might make them think twice about being late!

yep and also the super bright phone screen during a dark scene at the Theatre.
  • @suelelievre5513
We're with you. As they say to little kids, "Use your inside voice."
  • @berardiracing92
I hear ya Don. People are just plain rude and entitled. Not sure how or when this will ever get fixed. Total lack of respect. 😢
  • @whoopie2011
My pet peeve……..people who think the singer on the stage will hear them singing over them and they will be discovered. I am there to he performers, not the off key person behind me singing loudly in my ear, even if you move, there will be another one.
  • These people are everywhere. On our last southwest flight had a man claim he was disabled so he could board early with the wife and grandchild. This is after we saw him walk through the airport just fine 5 minutes earlier. They sat in the first row 2 on one side and him on the other. Saved the other 3 seats for other family members who were obviously c boarding pass. So yes they are everywhere and they don't care about anyone but themselves.
  • @ninerjen1
Good point! Good reminder. Sad that people don’t realize the distraction they make and the disrespect. 😮
  • @stevewilson6390
People being ignorant and talking is my bug- bear. We went to daily lectures on a recent Celebrity cruise ( astronomy) the trouble was it was followed by " BINGO " and we had a lnflux of bingo players gatecrashing the theatre towards the end of the talk ( just so they could get a seat ) so ignorant, all talking and shuffleing, rude people basically.
  • @deloreskeels2975
I'm with u Don. People r so rude. On our princess cruise, we had 5 rooms of family members and it didn't matter the time of day or night. They would c how loud they could shut the doors. Talked to guest services and was told to cover my head with a blanket.
  • @thegoodvsthebad
I agree with you Don this type of interruption is the worst, People are rude and entitled because if you say anything to them they give you a hard time because you asked them to stop or be quiet !
