My ex boyfriend killed himself in 2019. I was driving home from work a few days ago and this song came on the radio. It was the first time I've ever heard it. I burst into tears. "Wish I would have known in that instant, so many hints and I missed it" resonates with me heavily. There is so much left unsaid. So many apologies I want to make. So many wishes I could have saved him. "I still dream about you" He's come to me in my dreams, and I know that's him saying hello. Im not even a huge Nicki fan, but this song hit every emotion about that. And that's what music and poetry is supposed to do. Give you the words when you don't know how.
