This country has everything, seas and lakes, glaciers, fjords, unreal nature, rich history and especially the time of the Vikings, mountains, and if you are in Norway for the first time and are looking for a travel guide and tips, put Olden and the glacier on your map.
You have all heard of the term "Nordic countries happiness" and when you visit Norway you will know why this is true. The question "is Norway expensive" is often asked. Although significantly more expensive than some other European destinations, you can see some things only here. Glaciers, fjords, viking settlements, aurora borealis are just some of the things you can see during your visit to this fantastic country.
Olden is a village in the municipality of Stryn in Vestland county, Norway. It is located at the inner end of the Nordfjorden, a branch of the larger Sognefjorden. Olden is known for its stunning natural beauty, surrounded by mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls.
If you enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, nature walks, or boat trips, Olden offers a picturesque setting to indulge in these pursuits. Briksdal Glacier, in particular, is a popular attraction, and visitors often take guided tours to explore the glacier and its surroundings.
Olden is situated at the inner end of Nordfjord, and the fjord itself is a magnificent sight. You can take boat trips or simply enjoy the scenic views from various vantage points. Olden Church dates back to 1759 and is a cultural and historical landmark in the village. Another glacier worth exploring, Kjenndalsbreen, is located in the nearby Lodalen Valley.
