    A few misc things:

    - When Ichiro's neighbor calls the police, his dialogue is very clear, but in the dub, it was masked with car noises
    - One of the thieves is given the name "Roy" in the english dub, but there's no mention of their named in the original japanese dub
    - Hilariously, Ichiro's neighbor refers to Minya as a god in the original japanese dub
    - Was it confirmed that Ichiro says "Esbrasaurus"? I thought he was saying "There's Gorosaurus/Brosaurus" but the audio was just recorded weirdly
  • Despite this film’s many shortcomings, I still really enjoy it for its social commentary on what life was like in that time period for a child. It took me a few rewatches to realize how depressing the film’s undertone is.
  • Always loved this series, I’m thankful you are keeping it alive. I’m sure there’s plenty of other Tokusatsu movies you could be covering in this series, ergo Gamera and Gammera.
  • One thing about the intro that I find weird is that there's a clip of Godzilla repeatedly punching an off-screen enemy that is below him. From the tropical trees in the background, it looks like a clip from this movie or Son of Godzilla, but the shot cannot be found in either movie. I thought maybe it was in the Japanese version of Godzilla's Revenge, but that wasn't the case either. It looks like it's just a deleted clip from the fight against Gabara. Maybe they cut it because they felt the fight was becoming too one-sided.

in the english dub, I'm pretty sure you can hear faint traces of the original japanese song right at the beginning
  • "Hubert, don't leave me!"
"Geraldine, I have to leave you."
    "But Hubert, I LOVE YOU!"
(Couple on television in the American dub)
  • I loved this movie when i was a little kid! But the more i started watching the film as i was getting older it became silly but gabra is a unique kaiju. Hope he comes back in a better story/ better film for him. face-fuchsia-tongue-out

Thanks for the video! According to the Japanese credits, and other Japanese published sources, the voice of Minilla (pronounced "Mee-nee-lah"; a portmanteau of "Miniature" & "Gojira" - a "Mini-Godzilla") was dubbed by 内山みどり (Midori Uchiyama). Being a soft tongue twister, Minilla was rechristened "Minya" to give the voice dubbers an easier go. BTW, Toho's original English rendering for アンギラス (Angirasu) was indeed "Angilas," which appears on Toho's English publicity materials for GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN. Toho has fluctuated on their English naming conventions over the decades.
  • Great video. Despite Godzilla's Revenge arguably being the worst in the series it's actually one that I watched a lot as a child. This was due to it's really short runtime and kaiju action that I wasn't familiar with at the time. Kumonga's mispronounced name in the English dub still stuck with me to this day as well haha
  • LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ALWAYS GREAT INFO STUFF I WATCHED GROWING UP BUT NEVER KNOW KEEP-EM COMING

One of the rare occasions where I prefer the American dub (slightly) over the subbed version, warts and all. Either way, I unironically adore this film as its the main Godzilla film I remember as a child.

Never cared for this film as a kid but it grew on me. Gabara was a great foe and only used in this picture, which I thought sad. Thanks for the great content!!
  • Fun Fact: “All Monsters Attack” Had a Much Larger Yen Budget Compared to “Destroy All Monsters”, “All Monsters Attack” Had a Budget Total of ¥260 Million.
  • I know this movie gets shit on a lot but Im particularly nostalgic for it. I watched it a lot as a kid and really liked it. I probably just liked how many different monsters were featured and being a child, neither knew or cared about the frankenstein's monster made of godzilla stock footage. The movie is dumb and basically just a weird fan-fiction, but it's way too amusing for me to hate

I have a theory that Ichiro's father in the English dub being renamed to Tak as a subtle to the production designer Takeo Kita
