!!! INSTRUCTIONS !!!

Peppermint Bath Salts!
inspired by : apumpkinandaprincess.com

3 cups of Epsom Salt
2 cups of Sea Salt
1 cup of Baking Soda
5-10 drops of peppermint oil (or extract)
red food coloring

step 1: mix together the two salts and the baking soda
Step 2: mix in the peppermint oil or extract
Step 3: Divide the Bath Salts into two bowls
Step 4: Add about 5 drops to half of the mix
Step 5: layer the salts in a mason jar! love it!

GingerBread Sugar Scrub!
Inspired by: livingbettertogether.com

1/2 cup of Brown sugar
1/2 a cup of Pure Cane Sure (or granulated)
1/2 cup of Coconut Oil
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp All Spice

Step 1: Mix the two sugars and add the coconut oil
Step 2: Add the Vanilla extract followed by all the spices
Step 3: Whip it all together (electrically or otherwise)
Step 4: put it in a jar!

Bathbomb!
Inspired by: WhatsupMoms

1/2 cup of Baking Soda
1/4 cup of Citric Acid
1/4 cup of cornstarch
1/4 cup of Epsom Salt or Sea Salt
3 tsp Vegetable Oil or Castor Oil (if you fancy lol)
Food Coloring
Essential Oil or I used Vanilla extract
and you can add a bit of water but it depends. You’re gonna have to feel it.

Step 1: Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowel
Step 2: Mix all the wet ingredients separately
Step 3: SLOWLY combine them
Step 4: place in a mold and let chill for 3 hours or wrap over night
Step 5: Wrap it!

TIPS: The water can be tricky, in the video I added way too much. It puffed up in the ornament was a mess. Then I made one but added too little and it wouldn’t stay in a ball form it was just two semi- spheres. I patted a little water on the flat sides and then stuck them together. Boom worked out fine. Then the third one I added just enough water but seriously it depends on the weather or something so proceed with caution. If your stuff mix is fizzing it’s probably too much water. (A little fizzing is okay)

Thanks for what you do....

I feel like I should pop out a disclaimer for anyone who has pet cats and wants to use these peppermint products in their bath. Peppermint is SUPER POISONOUS TO CATS. Scrub out your bathtub REALLY GOOD if your furry ones like to jump into it (maybe even deny them access entirely)! I once used a peppermint extract and soap mixture on my porch to ward off spiders and wasps from building nests. That stuff works awesomely because it sticks to the wood and the smell drives them off. What I didn't realize is how long it can stick around and be reactivated because a year later when i was washing off my porch peppermint soap water came raining down on everything. Not too long after my outside cats started dying out of no where. We lost several. It wasn't until much later I learned that peppermint was toxic to them and put 2 and 2 together. I was devastated. Please learn from my mistakes and protect your fur babies from peppermint! Use peppermint oils responsibly and always double check that your oil won't cause harm to your animals!
  • For the bath bombs try adding the citric acid very last. after every thing else has been mixed together, this way the citric acid wont react. Then you never need to waist time slowly adding the liquids.
  • First off, you look gorgeous 😍 Secondly, Thank you so much for the tutorial 😘 I plan on making all 3 as a gift for my mom and MIL.

With the bath salts i'll just keep them as room decor and add a LOT of extracts or scenting stuff and drill holes on the lid so the smell can get out.
