The Seven Deadly Sins were a list of psychological flaws first identified by Christianity in the 4th century. Christianity was wise in spotting the errors, but rather ungenerous in explaining why they existed. Given that we are all, in a sense, ‘sinners’, we need to find better explanations for our bad behaviour.

  • So lemme get this straight Pride: You show off because you feel like the world ignored. Envy: You just think you’re imperfect and need to improve. Wrath: You’re angry because you feel threatened or scares. Gluttony: You starve for love. Lust: You’re lonely. Sloth: You’re afraid of to try something out of Humiliation or injury. Greed: You feel so neglected and desperate so you go after anything as fast as possible.

God, the Sloth one really hit me hard. Didn't expect to cry today. Beautifully done.

Pride: I feel invisible. Envy: a graceless way to learn. Roth: I'm angry and scared. Gluteny: emotionally starving. Lust: I'm lonely. Sloth: fear of taking a risk. Greed: feeling neglected. Edit: (2 years later) gluttony and wrath, not Gluten and Roth 🤭 Sorry about the spelling mistakes. Loved the funny comments pointing that out, though 😂

This is what I need. Not someone saying "You'll go to hell for that you know", just somebody who will actually help me. I don't need someone to tell me that I am a horrible person and that I will burn in hell for not doing anything. Thank you.
  • Pride - Mario Envy - Luigi Wrath - Bowser Greed - Wario Gluttony - Yoshi Lust - Birdo Sloth - Princess Peach (she never does anything to protect herself from Bowser)

although I'm an atheist I think these basic teachings of the Bible of being a good human being are a great thing
  • Spongebob is about the seven deadly sins: Spongebob: Lust He loves everyone around him. (By meaning that he always have love for other people and never hates them) Squidward: Warth He is very mean in almost every episode Patrick: Sloth He is lazy everyday. Mr. Krab: Greed He wants all the money. Plankton: Envy He is jealous of mr. Krabs wealth Sandy: Pride She boast and talks about how she is a mammal and how she lives in Texas. Lastly, Gary: Gluttony He eats a lot. Btw this is not my conspiracy. Someone else made this :)

I’m writing a book about the sins and how people misunderstand their meanings, this video helped me a lot! Thank you!
  • I feel like a lot of people especially back in the day missed the whole “Jesus died for our sins” part of Christianity.
  • @nielsassal69
A seven minutes vid talking about the seven sins
  • @m_o_r_i_o_h8412
I started to cry when it said eating too much and being lazy I NEED HELP
  • I'm an atheist, but I wanted to learn about the seven sins for a drawing I'm working on, but when it got to Gluttony, I stopped drawing. I'm a gluttonous person, and I'm overweight. I've been trying to stop eating as much and working out more but it's a slow process. When it talked about Gluttony, it made me feel better about myself. It made me feel less gross. So, thank you. Thank you for uploading this and teaching others. This video was surprisingly uplifting and has rewatch value, at least to me.
