Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that mother Ganga had adopted him and the love and affection of the people of Kashi had turned him into a "Banarasian". In an exclusive interview with India Today before filing his nomination for the third time from Varanasi, PM Modi got emotional while recalling his bond with Kashi.

"Mother Ganga has called me. I do every work considering it as worship of God... Seeing the love of people, I feel that my responsibilities are increasing every day," PM Modi said.
