He’s so calm and looks like a huge cuddle bug😊

my 10yr old male just passed away this week, I miss him so much, after years of helping other breeders and owners of the Cane Corsos I agree with what you have to say, obedience training is very helpful too, and energy is everything, if your calm he will feel calm too, thank you for sharing
  • Bruce is absolutely beautiful. We have our 2nd Cane Corso now. We socialized him right from the beginning by taking him to Lowe's, Home Depot, and the veterinarian's office just to hang out so he would be comfortable there when he needed treatment. It worked like a charm and he thinks it's social time whenever we go for checkups. With our first, we didn't take him anywhere until after he had all of his shots and that was a mistake. He was great with people as long as he sensed that we were ok with him, but he quickly became intolerant of other dogs and ended up getting expelled from daycare. Even so, he was the best fur-baby. We lost him to bone cancer and miss him every day, but we love our new guy just as much. New owners should be prepared though, you will have something the size of a person glued to you no matter what you are trying to do! ❤😆

I was blessed to have a Cane Corso/Bordeaux mix for 13 years. “Best friend” is an insult as the amount of love and support he provided is unmatched. (I’ve got PTSD) It’s been 2 years since his passing and I’m ready. Maybe a female this time. Let’s see. Good vibes.
  • Basically treat them as you would treat your children ☺️ discipline, love and trust.
  • my neighbor has a cane corso and he has absolutely no control over the dog. i see a lawsuit happening in the future.

I'm new to this community of cane corso..... I am learning alot before I have my 1st puppy cane corso. Thank you for all you do
  • It truly is like having another human being in the house. Our English mastiff lived up to 10yrs old. She loved nothing more than cuddles and being around us. I’m in love with the giant breeds because of her. Awesome awesome dogs 😍

This is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen. He has a dignified look, very subtle drooling, eyes are not droopy, skin looks super healthy, all of which I believe tend to be compromised with inbreeding or just bad breeding. Physically he seems capable and functional and best and most important of all he seems to have great temperament. Kudos to you, from a Bernese dad :)

He is so calm and cuddly... i love that adorable snore- like sound he makes😍😍😍
  • This is Exactly what happened with my lab - she is 3 months old now and just got done with her shots. Doc said dont take her out and what I have at hand now - is a dog that not biting people, but gets really really excited seeing someone and nips and jumps. I realised it too late that I should have socizlied her the moment she came in and in that crucial period. But not doing it again. Her trainer starts next week and hopefully, post her training, I will be able to take her everyday. But that jason is indeed very crucial advice.
  • @wolfygrl24
Such great advice! Not just for this specific breed but also can be applied to almost all breeds, so great to hear this.
  • @thanu2368
WOW! You Sir brought the greatest advice!!! This needs to be followed by every Dog Owner!

This was an excellent video. Our Irish Wolfhound breeder kept their litter 12 weeks. This gave them more time with litter mates and Mom to learn positive behaviors. They also had lots of socialization with him. We started socialization right away but had to soon purchase a minivan to take him places. You also need to think about a rescue/evacuation plan with a giant breeds. Saxon is 37" at the withers now at almost 2 years old and weighs 155#. We live in a Hurricane prone area with a warm humid temp many months of the year. One of the first things we did after getting a used van was buy a large tarp to safely move him if injured or sick. You have to consider so much more with giant breeds. Keep up these videos. I just discovered you tonight and the videos are thoughtful and very realistic as to what and how to raise a large/giant breed puppy/dog.

Our 4 year old Cane Corso is great with tiny dogs, grandkids, and friends. He’s a smiler too. He always smiles when he sees us, which makes him sneeze. He’s like the 7th grandkid 😄
