We were not angry about you wanting to get rid of the hutch. It was when the girl said that her grandfather built it for her and you responded very condesendingly "Uhh... But why..." and "we cant just throw it in the trash.." A better response could have been "It was very nice of him to try to help you, but the rabbit will be happier without the hutch, so thats why we should get rid of it"

I feel just like this young woman. She did not give up on "Pepper". That says a lot about her character. People's attitudes can be "it's just an animal". They may be just an animal but they don't deserve to be treated badly.
