I'm so glad he's free, he should have NEVER been arrested

Protecting his family and property, yeah, let’s charge him with murder. What has this country come to

The so called victim was in camo, had binoculars, a pack, and stuff like that. He wasn't "looking for work" unless he's either a drug smuggler or a home invader. The shooter claims there were 5 of them, and they were alerted in the first place because they were shooting rifles. He testified he checked his horse for wounds - cementing the notion the suspects were shooting at something. They can't even tell who shot the deceased because the bullet wasn't recovered, and the others likely grabbed the gun and ran if there was one on him.
  • State should NOT refile in this case which was clearly self defense. The illegal was in the wrong and broke U.S. law and suffered consequence of it .
  • Having an illegal alien drug trafficker testifying against this poor rancher should wake everyone up to how broken the justice system is.

If they wanted to convict the guy they should have put more effort into finding a bullet. Putting him on trial with no physical evidence connecting his weapon to the victim was ridiculous.

He has right to defend his property damit. He is not guilty of any crime.

Illegal immigrants not migrants theres a difference he wasnt at a border crossing point that legally allowing immigrants to cross . They were illegally crossing the border and on his property.
  • The people who are charging him, arrested him and supported this insanity are worth your disrespect.
  • Protection of your property is our right. You pay property taxes and you take care of your land. If you trespass than you have a right to protect.

Maybe, if he had remained in Mexico, none of this would have happened?

Justice served, mistrial, do not attempt to bring charges again.
  • Don't come here illegally, don't trespass on private property. If that Mexican "consular" wants justice for the family, he should work day and night to fix his country's economy and help the US secure the border so that people are less inclined to break the law.
  • The man has the right to protect his property. There shouldn’t even be a trial. Not only that those people do not belong in this country.
