Figures Joe would figure out a way to put 6 Shinobi games in this episode. I approve.

Adventures of Batman and Robin for Genesis is one of the most impressive 16 bit games ever created. Clockwork programmed the entire thing in assembly, hence the insane scaling effects on hardware that didn't natively support it. It looks better than most ps1 games.Throw in a challenge, smooth gameplay and one of Jesper Kyd's finest soundtracks and you have a classic.

Shadowrun for Genesis is a great game, and hands down the best one, just avoid enemies until you get a good weapon. How to get into the game: get few jobs done, retrive your brother's stuff, then do jobs in other parts of the town to get a lot more money and you should be able to log into the Matrix and that's where things get really interesting. It's a VERY hard game.

Nightshade on the PS2 was called "Kunoichi" in Japan, Kunoichi being the female version of Shinobi. IIRC they were supposed to be in the same series.
  • The skit at the end where Dave is telling Joe rare/valuable games are worthless, while saying the junk is high value, is hilarious. I guess that was the idea though.

Batman and Robin on the Genesis looks incredible.I had to rewind the video to make sure I had heard correct that this was actually a genesis game. Really impressive effects.

Also. I loled at calling the Pink Ranger cute, because the SNES version uses the same male body type sprite for all 5 rangers when they wear the suits

Time and time again you two show me just how little I know about so many classic games, amazes me every time! Thanks for the many hours of solid entertainment.

I have an idea for an episode: "Same game, different name." There are games that were released on different regions or consoles with little modification and a different name. Contra & Robotron. Doki Doki panic & SMB2. Tecmo cup & captain Tsubasa........ you guys are the experts and can find more obsecure examples ;)

Always look forward to game sack on a Sunday, it's the first thing I do. Sunday mornings. Get over a hangover and watch some. 'Sack.

I've noticed that a lot of people here, many of which who are actually asking questions, do not allow replies to their comments. Strange.

Some quick IDEAS for future Episodes: Games with horrible voice acting, Games game breaking bugs (Escape of Monkey Island is one of them), Adventure Games on Consoles (Glass Rose), Rythem Games like Gitaroo Man, Mad Maestro, Games that SCREAM Japan all over the place (heavily influenced by Japanese culture), Left in USA (Mega Man X Compilation), Left in EUROPE/Japan (The Simple Series), GAMES that aren't well known (Rule of Rose), GAME sequels that failed in 3D (Castlevania 64), Franchises that failed in a new genre ( Castlevania for the Wii), Clones that are better than their original, Games that take place in a Western setting (Samurai Western PS2), Games that are published by XXX (505 Games, CAPCOM, Konami), Forgotten games (Mobile Suit Gundam Arcade Games - Federation vs. Zeon) Strategy games on consoles (Herzog Zwei, a obvious one), Left in JAPAN Rainbow Man Wii, Games based on cartoons (Gregory Horror Show), Arcade type of games (Under the Skin, The Red Star), Mario Kart Clones (Freaky Flyers, Space Race) And so on and so on. I suppose you have a LOT of ideas either ,-)
  • THANK YOU for covering the Batman and Robin games and the Shadowrun games!!!! Just as a side note to Dave on the Genesis version of Shadowrun...the maps for the areas in the game are in the back of the manual. :) As usual, a great episode...and I am super Jealous of Joe's collection!

Always great to see mention of the Genesis Batman & Robin. Such a good game.

The Adventures of Batman and Robin on the Genesis is one of my favorite soundtracks ever. I find myself looking up the music on Youtube on a regular basis.

You should really watch the extended version of Alien 3, it is by far a better movie and you'd be surprised at how different the movie is.

21:10 "It plays really well and you can duck"..... I see what you did there, Dave.
