Visiting Waco, Texas | Fun and Interesting Things to Do

This week we take you along as we visit Waco, Texas.

Just a few years ago, Waco was a sleepy college town (home to Baylor University) in Central Texas. But then Chip and Joanna Gaines launched their show Fixer Upper on HGTV in 2013 and everything began to change.

The global popularity of Fixer Upper and Chip and Joanna put Waco on the tourism map. The Waco of today is not the Waco of the past. Today, Waco is a reenergized city welcoming to visitors and ready to show off all that is good about this now travel destination city.

For links to all of the places we visited in this video and more (and yes, there is more to do in Waco than what we had time to see during this stay), check out our website: rvamericayall.com/travel-destinations/waco-texas .

We look forward to visiting Waco again in the future!

šŸ¤  Thanks For Watching!

We are Tom and Stacie Langland, known for 10 years as RV Texas Y'all.

We are Native Texans and Full-Time RVers who are all about exploring the Great State of Texas and America one campground at a time. We're on a mission to experience life, not just live it and we're bringing you along for the fun.

In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).

Every day is a new adventure, so join us as we RV America Y'all.

Safe Travels and Happy Camping!

Iā€™ve visited Magnolia Market a few years back. Itā€™s impeccably done and I can see why they have been so successful. A must see for their fans.šŸŒ»
  • Great place to share, see & visit. So glad we had a chance to visit during this video. As many times I have been to Waco, some things I have yet to hope to see. Thanks for sharing. Grammy Kay
  • Ate at the Homestead Heritage cafe during two trips to Waco. Excellent food both times. They take reservations. Enjoyed the video!
  • Reading the book Boys in the Boat has me thinking that I would like to plan a trip to Waco during a rowing regatta. We have passed through Waco dozens of times and have only done quick stops. Always wanted to see the Ranger museum. You've upped my enthusiasm to plan a trip centered around Waco.
  • Interesting video. Always found the food in Waco to be excellant. Glad you found some new spots we have never visited. Thanks

Hello, David and Anita Jones here. We met you guys at the NIRVC in Nashville for their grand opening. I was wondering how the high- performance Starlink is doing for you? I am considering installing one on our r v. I'm just trying to see if anyone is having any major issues with it. Thank you, and we enjoy watching all your exciting videos.

I have to disagree with you on this. Chip and JoJo were no where near the 1st reality TV show to renovate houses in 2013.........That title is given to "This Old House" with their 1st episode back on January 1st of 1979. The original home renovation show and still the best "REAL" home renovation show today! Just my opinion. ( and yes I have been to Magnolia in Waco because my wife drug me there) šŸ˜
