Why are WE even allowing the supreme Court to decide if the president of the United States of America the chance to be granted full immunity when in office ? That would make him a king. The citizens have failed this country!

I'm coming to the dreadful conclusion that none of this will matter. Even if justice is done in this situation... The very next time a Republican is elected President, they will immediately pardon Trump. If he's alive still he will have a disgusting justification moment like Rush Limbaugh had when he was given to that medal. If he's already gone, his legacy will have that asterisk attached. I'm utterly disgusted with modern US political theater.

I’m 78, a straight if mere man. I’ve had a pretty good life. I’m embarrassed by the stupidity and obvious lack of ethics/character displayed by too many politicians AND the male members of SCOTUS. 🙁

This is absurd. The reason we have have the 3 branches of government in this country, is to provide checks and balances. No branch and no person has complete immunity from prosecution of wrongdoing!

The question attorneys should ask is if the President ordered the murder of a Supreme Court justice should he be immune from prosecution? Not advocating murder but just saying the question should hit home with the justices on the danger of giving politicians above the law.

I’ve always defended our judicial system but this Supreme Court is so far out of line it’s indefensible.

How the heck can you expect jurors to leave their prejudices at the door of the court when the Justices on the highest court of the land appear quite unable to do the same.

As a UK citizen it’s truly bizarre to hear this coming out of America in 2024. If Trump gets reelected in November that will have massive implications for the world, especially if he gives Putin his blessing to march is armies across Europe.
