Crainer! A suggestion: Make a spyglass because it fits in with your pirate theme. Also, if you want a suggestion with your TNT, you should build a cannon!

You should get your own plants soon too. Just grab a bunch of sapling (jungle tree sapling are ideal) and perhaps expand the size of the little previously lushious corner of your island. Not only so you have your own wood supply, but for aesthetic reasons, and it could make for good place to have a secret entrance to your treasure stash. You are of course aware that your island is the smallest, so to have more room for a pirate cove and room for things in general you could use an increase in landarea. You don't need to fill it in completely: if you want it to also be desert, just create a platform of dirt or sandstone or something 3 blocks below sea level and then fill that in with sand. It could also make for a cool basement room made out of glass so you can see under your extended land and into the ocean.

Crainer! Fire aspect is actually really helpful! It sets hit enemies on fire and can give you cooked food if you use it on animals! You should get a good sword and put fire aspect on it!
