Mobile Alabama native and resident here. What happened to Brazy's grandparents was so unbelievably foul that much of the entire city was heartbroken and disgusted in equal measures. In the aftermath since I drive thru some of that area on my way to/from work and my bf told me to take a different route because people were wanting get back and he was afraid of anything going on with me driving thru. I felt like that was unlikely, that those things get handled in their way, but still drive a different route to this day.
