Central Ave is NOT one way, it is rather 1st Ave N and 1st Ave S that are one way.

Thanks for moving here and raising the housing prices.

I have to say that when someone moves to this area and is here for a few weeks to a month, they all say the same thing. Why did I wait so long to move here. What is really fun is having someone come visit you from up north for a week and then only have to go and you get to stay. I live in Parrish which is only about 20 minutes to St. Petersburg. I love it down here. They call this area "resort living". What also is great is you see all these 80 something years old couples and they look so energetic, happy, and healthy. Psychologically it takes you away from that under current feeling of dread about getting old. Just do it and make the move. Come down for a week or two and look from Clearwater down to Naples and check out all the developments that are being built.

Great video Juan. I brought my daughter down to St. Pete this last weekend to scout out. She loved the area, hoping to move down later this year or beginning of next. I’m a Realtor in Montgomery County, MD with a YouTube channel so from one YouTuber to another, you do a great job and bring a lot of value.

Please don’t move here. Too crowded, no parking, few jobs, costs have increased 500% since 1990. The $400 1/1 I rented then is now $2k a month. Tons of flooding bcuz the city won’t fix the drainage problems yet continue to build massive apartment & condo buildings. Insurance is crazy high. If ur a democrat you’re not welcome here. Just sayin….
  • I been in St. Pete for 22 years, moved from Ohio. I'll never regret moving here. But the population has grown a lot, traffic has gotten a lot worse and has become very expensive. I would like to stay in Florida, but outside of the city. Otherwise there are a lot of various things to do and see in St. Pete and Tampa.

I live all the way up in Hernando county, but i drive down to St Pete almost every weekend to do Uber not only because its busy there, but because i literally just feel happier when i drive down there. Everyone i drive around is so kind and in a great mood.
  • Awesome stuff, I’m considering moving there after my brother had died I want to help out my sister in law.
  • I love to live in Clearwater Florida area for the sunshine and for the marine wildlife over there because I have always wanted to move to Clearwater Beach Florida when I first watched Dolphin Tale movies since it came out since then I always wanted to work at Clearwater Marine Aquarium to become a marine biology some day in the future!

I’ve been watching a lot of realtor videos lately and I have not seen any small townhomes, or even townhomes with fenced yards. 1000ft townhomes with yard for dogs to play? Many thanks

Rats are definitely a problem. If you or your neighbors have fruit trees, you will have a rat problem. They eat the fruit right off the trees and if your attic isn’t sealed, they will move in. They will also live in your garage if your garage door doesn’t seal. We’ve dealt with it in every home we’ve lived in here.
  • I love downtown St. Pete! It is more expensive but it is nice that it is very walkable. Plenty of parking as Juan said and fairly reasonable. Tropicana Field is close within biking or walking distance. The bus system, although not great, is a bit better than Tampa. Traffic on 275 is horrific and it is usually due to people driving with their cell phones on (yes, still legal in Florida). As a newbie to the Bay Area, I noticed that each county has the ability to follow or not follow the state fireworks laws. There are 4 days a year in which lighting of fireworks (unrestricted types and varieties) is legal. Pinellas county (including St. Pete) has opted out of that law thus not allowing the private consumption of fireworks while Hillsborough county has not. If you live in Tampa and have small dogs or children, you should prepare to have at least 4 nights a year of sleep disrupted.

Fyi Central avenue is not one way it is two-way- east and west goes from the Beach to the Bay and ive never heard of or was bitten by one of those little bugs you are talking about in 60 years of living in St Pete. thank you for your video

Red tide has a worse history in Sarasota county. There is perennial red tide in Sarasota County. Pinellas problems were severely exacerbated by chemical waste spills from Manatee County and hurricane waste two years ago this October. It killed many generations of fish like Lee and Collier Counties. It will be a while before fishing is back to what it was but the water is clear and beautiful most of the time. Most inhabitants have no idea of the health of the bay.
