Can you dissable the button light by twisting the end cap?

Strobe mode works and is very bright (seems to use "high" or "turbo" brightness levels). FYI: if you plan on using 3.7V batteries OTHER than Lumintop branded ones, don't be cheap and do your homework, there are many crappy fakes out there.
