I couldn't decide if I wanted to sing Sally's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas or make lyrics for Corpse Bride's Piano Duet song SO I DID BOTH! MWAHA! Lyrics below! I wrote the Corpse Bride Lyrics! Sally's Song by Danny Elfman! Please leave a LIKE if you enjoyed! I don't exactly use autotune.I thought this sort of pitch corrector would sound a bit creepier. It was quite fun. The harmonization is all separate recordings!

Nightmare Before Christmas
I sense there's something in the wind
That feels like tragedy's at hand
And though I'd like to stand by him
Can't shake this feeling that I have
The worst is just around the bend

And does he notice my feelings for him?
And will he see how much he means to me?
I think it's not to be

Corpse Bride
Under a tree at quarter three, I had some hope in me
But life was taken from me, but I did not feel peace
I made a vow within my gown that love will come to me
but then he came and seemingly I had been found

What will become of my dear friend
Where will his actions lead us then?
Although I'd like to join the crowd
In their enthusiastic cloud
Try as I may, it doesn't last

What is this, a painful twist, is this a bitter kiss?
There’s so much life left in his eyes, it should not end like this
My dreams were slain, my face was stained with memories of my pain
But peace still came, I'll give him the same, and I will be okay

And will we ever end up together?
No, I think not, it's never to become
For I am not the one

I was literally raised off Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, and Labrinth

"Pardon my enthusiasm." "I like your enthusiasm." 😢😢
  • “My dreams were slain” “My face was stained” “With memories of my pain” “But peace still came I’ll give” “Him the same” “I will be Okay” These lines are so sad and tempting...💔

While I’ve noticed many people suggesting that Emily and Victor should have ended up together, I can’t help but feel they made the right choice. Stories don't always conclude with happy endings, especially in the harsh realities of our world. It’s important to teach children that sometimes what we perceive as « fair » or « destined » simply doesn’t transpire. Emily’s ‘death' liberated her, and a future with Victor was unattainable. Moreover, her affection wasn’t truly directed at him, rather, it was fixated on the idealized image Victor represented. She longed for love for the sake of it. Ultimately, he facilitated her realization of this, allowing her to find peace. I view it as a form of mourning or, perhaps, the abandonment of one’s past—a pivotal step toward progress and embracing new horizons. Apologies if I’m delving too deeply, but I hold this movie dear; it played a significant role in shaping my perspective. Thank you for reading, if you’ve made it this far! ♥ P.S: Beautiful cover.

Everyone: the corpse bride! Sally: “am I a joke to you?”
  • I can’t help but feel like Emily is the most Beautiful Tim Burton character ever. Unlike Sally, Emily didn’t get the guy in the end. Emily is such a talented girl and she has the most beautiful personality. She plays the piano and sings and dances so she’s very artistic just like victor. She was killed in such a horrible way all for money and her jewelry by someone who she thought loved her. She spend years in the Land of the dead lonely and depressed waiting for someone to love her. Finally when Victor came around she finally has someone to love and care for her. I think victor definitely loved Emily more than he showed. In the beginning he was obviously scared of her because she’s dead, but as he slowly got to know her he warmed up to her and loved her. They both have so much in common and in my opinion are the perfect couple. It’s sad how they didn’t end up together but at least Emily got to experience real love with Victor before she passed on to Heaven.
  • Theory: Emily is Victoria's older sister. She stole the money from her parents. That's why Victoria's parents are broke. Emily was a free spirit-- playing piano and going out at all times of the day. That's why the Everglots don't let Victoria play piano or seem "improper". I dunno, I'm just thinking. Anyways, maybe Victoria was abroad at a young age to separate her from Emily in their parents last stitch attempt to keep Emily from influencing Victoria.
  • Listening to Sally & Emily's voices gives the impression that they were best friends or related in life. The singing is almost like hearing them air out their grievances at the world.

I wish Emily had a better ending. A wedding with her true love. By the way, this masterpiece is beautiful. Got me in my feels.
  • "This is wrong. I was a bride, my dreams were taken from me. Well now... now I've stolen them from someone else. I love you, Victor. But you're not mine."

Emily's story is truly sad, and yet she covers it up as best as she can. shes still as beautiful as she was when she was alive, even if we dont know what she looked like. victor seemed to fall for her, especially in the piano duet they had. both were happy once they both started playing. victor almost drinking the poison was also a sign he loved her. emily wasnt selfish and let him have victoria, which is a sign of her love for him. its truly bittersweet how she lets him have her, which is why i love her so much.

“I will be okay” that’s the most heartbreaking line In the song. I feel so much empathy for Emily it hurts me. She thought she found true love and was going to run away with him. To find that “her true love” had killed her on the spot where she waited “ she had hoped for a true love and her life was taken from her. All her dreams, her ambitions, down the drain. And she became alone. Until victor found her and I can tell how much she truly loved Victor and how greatful she was to him for going as far to try and kill him self to be with her. But he loved Victoria and not truly Her. That’s heartbreaking to think she never had a happy ending and all the pain and sorrow and loneliness she has been through is just awful yet she still found peace is honestly incredible. Corpse bride is my absolute favorite movie just because of the feeling you actually get from Emily. It’s like you can feel her pain and just feel empathy towards her💔

My favorite line: "There so much life still left in his eyes, it should not end like this" It seems very deep, don't ya think?
  • @annaschadler853
The fact that corpse bride is based of a russian legend where the living bride promised the dead one to get her dreams come true and to get children for both of them and burried her bones near a lake made it even more beautiful🥰

Everyone talking about Emily. Sally be like "am I invisible?"
  • @arte1805
“My dreams were slain My face was stained With memories of pain” This part really fills me with sadness, the story of Emily, her death, his love for Victor...
  • I started crying, especially at; "My dreams were slain My face was stained, With memories of my pain". ( I'm not an emotional person, it takes a lot for me to cry, this is a masterpiece)
  • @jellybelly.
I’m actually somewhat okay with the ending of Corpse Bride. It’s a twist from most movies showing that there always isn’t a happy ending for all. Sure I do cry thinking about Emily and at times I do really wish she ended up with Victor, but something about it just didn’t seem fully right, and Emily realized this which is why she gave up her love so Victor and Victoria could share the dream that was brutally taken from her. In the end though, I’m glad she was able to get closure and finally be free, and show that in reality the right choices aren’t always the easiest ones.
