It wasn't animé that introduced me to the Universal Century, but rather, it was a film-based game from the original PlayStation days: Char's Counterattack. Building Bandai’s RG Nu Gundam is sort of a reunion with this handsome Mobile Suit, and also a way to relive those gaming moments back when I was 6 and didn't know better than calling it with a "V.”
Newest to the process is sanding and panel lining, and took up the vast majority of the 54 hours of footage. Compared to the 18 hours with Zoids Liger Zero, one can correctly infer that they're the ones which tripled production time. I had every intention of making them more prominent in the video, but along the way, I saw how they disrupt the momentum of the edit, and so decided to just merely sprinkle them about. I didn't get to track my editing time, but I estimate it to be somewhere around 50-100 hours (vs 36 hours with Liger Zero).
Coming from a place of revisiting my childhood, I am naturally inclined to keep the Nu as it is. But @Studio G comes from a place of potential, and his drive is to see what else the Nu can be. So do yourself a favor and watch his awesome custom build: • CUSTOM BUILD GUNPLA | RG NU GUNDAM [3...
