With some determination to make up for my lack of skill, I made it my job to fix the sills on this car called Janet Data Jackson.

I am happy to take the grief!

Brilliant effort Mustard! Shouldnt be so hard on yourself! Youve repaired it! Its solid! You are much better at it than you think 👍
  • Your video reminded me of welding my ZS on my drive a couple of years ago. Axel stands wooden blocks and trolley Jack's just to get it in the air high enough to roll underneath to weld very awkwardly. It's not fun without a ramp. But thank you for you video it was a fun watch as usual.

Is that a bullet you are making at the start there? 🤔 Presumably the instructions are in the Rover/MG Workshop Manual😁 It will be a good job accomplished when all the welding is done. I know the feeling as I once framed an MoT I'd managed to finally get on a car that I'd really had to graft on! Apart from all the weldy business and chatting in the car there are several interesting little glimpses, for instance Fred, some fishies and Cabbage & Poppy! Somehow Poppy looks a bit fed up, perhaps she's had a falling out with the microwave! 😃
  • Brilliant try! Think of all you've learned, it'll be easier next time. Protective gear would minimise the burns. Can't wait to see her undersealed and painted.

We had to weld Dan both sides where you have struggled to access. I remember that being a nightmare for my friend who had to make up the plates and weld them.

My old 25 had rot at the inner section best way to tackle it I found was to just do it from the front side by cutting out the outer and reinforcer panel much easier and you can see where you’re welding too
  • Not going to say anything about the welding 😂😂👍👍👍👍👍

It looks more corroded than a 25 usually is Paul.My 1999 25 has only ever had a small patch on offside rear welded and is excellent otherwise everything else is good!

Do you like being uncomfortable, yes😂
  • Please wear gloves using a grinder..... ask me how I know it can hurt you when you're least expecting it 😮🇮🇪👍

What a ball ache of a job its not so much the welding its the prep and shaping new bits of metal, when grinding small rusty bits they become big bits
  • @chucky2316
Buy a better mask, you can get smaller ones for jobs under the car

this was actually hilarious, defo some of the worst 2nd hand car sales bodgery viewable god help any one who buys a car off you guys HAHA you might now see.. that when you are trying to sell cars for strong money that need work like this a little hole is not a little issue! it can be days of work! the car is rotten, and you must keep cutting until you find good steel!! anything else is a bodge! and the stock you are using to fix it?? out of a scrap bin outside?? all you are doing is creating a huge problem for someone else to fix later and blathering it in body filler to hide the horrors.. SO YOU CAN SELL IT is just not cool. letting someone buy something 'fixed' when actually dumping problems on them for a quick buck is really bad form and unfortunately seems to be the form for you guys! i enjoyed some of the vids, but you guys are what gives the whole game a bad name with people.
