in this video we go through absolutely everything what we carry on our bikes during this 2 months of cycling in Kenya and how we have packed them.
We won't only tell you what we have, but how things have performed during our journey, what are essentials and what you shouldn't even have with you while bike packing in Africa.
We hope that this video gives you tips and help for packing for your adventures, big or small.
Much love,
Peyman and Sailor

What a place that is. Wow, living the dream at full throttle and I love to see the longer videos even though they require more effort I am sure. I have to say that I would never carry so much gear and prefer to travel light and fast with the basics - you seem to carry a LOT of gadgets but it seems to work for you. I Like your positive and "can do" attitude. Sailor is a fantastic girl and I like her calm focus and humour. You both compliment each other well and have good vibe going and show patience with each other which counts for a lot when on the road. I love your bike set up.š

That was very explaining! Bike tools & spare part storaging was space saving, new solar panel is interesting, though I have same as your old Sunbeam panel, keeping it! Why not a helmet? The narration has become very much better, thank you! Keep on doing that lifestyle!š

Nice video as always and much respect for telling people to speak to their doctor for medical stuff! Maybe would be good to mention Velotraum is sponsoring in this video as well?

Nice gear video! I was worried that you will only make shorts in the future. I like the long onesš

I compared the 42 oz Silverant vrs the 40 oz Stainless Steel Klean Kanteen 40, Klean Kanteen for the win! The same quality and capability (boil water) as the Silverant for around 1/3 of the price and just 50 grams extra weight (neglectable), ordered 2 Klean Kanteen. Cheers

Clothes: Roll up attire into a compact roll and place into packing cubes (which the consumer can also get in different colors to find/grab the right cube for clothing). Also, for inflatable sleeping pads, I have an additional light weight ground tarp placed on the inside floor of a tent to help prevent any unwanted punctures from happening to the inflatable sleeping pad. I also have a light weight bike cover (prevent bikes from rain or snow; get on dry bikes to ride). There are a ton of ongoing new innovations especially from the bicycling and or camping industries. Goal for Bike Tourists by common sense: Light Weight and Compact. Another important factor when traveling by bike...getting good nutrition. Happy Bike Touring. If you happen to use bike helmets, there is a bike helmet sun visor brim that can be attached to it. (however, kind of pricey).

Thanks for going through the gear! What is the saddle that you like? Thanks.

It looks like your bags are hanging quite high. Maybe you should have a look at the "Old Man Mountain devide". It is a rack which can be fittet either at the rear or the front, has a platform and can also be mounted on the axels directly which is very stable. The racks are very stable as well. This should bring your center of gravity down and are excelent racks in general.
