Can I get some 🎃 🎃 🎃 in the chat for Samhain Good Vibes???
  • Hey as a native Irish speaker Samhain is pronounced sow-in rather than sew-in. Sow as in a pig ❤
  • @loremlilium9959
Being submersed in pillows and blankets makes me feel calm and relaxed

I loved the bit about remembering the people you lost and acknowledging them. I think I will do this from now on ♥️ the art is so good too, all the details are awesome!

I’m so glad I learned how to say Samhain ain properly. I had no idea I was reading it wrong. Thanks for sharing this. My favorite thing to make me calm is ASMR. I listen to ASMR a lot while I’m working.

In Celtic it means summers end... Depending where you come from. Ireland, Scotland and Wales is pronounced differently.

Something that relaxes me is curling up with a warm cup of Peppermint tea with honey, and watching some lord of the rings behind the scenes (the appendices) its wonderful to see the art and decision making... Cause I love the process behind things more than the finished results 💜

Something that makes you feel calm and relaxed is baths! I use to love taking baths, I could do so many different things to make me calm while soaking but a few years ago our landlord re-did our bathroom and now we have no bath at all. It's been a huge hit mentally honestly. Even though I can't do it anymore I still really love and enjoy baths and am looking forward to the day I can bathe when ever I want! I honestly have too many bathbombs to not! SAMHAIN!! I've been wanting to learn about it!!! I loved this so much and I'm glad I know how to say it now!! Beautiful drawing toooo

I'm not sure if it's your accent or the pronunciation of Samhain is sounding wrong to me. What I'm hearing "Sew n ( hard N) I'm an old Crone practicing Wicca for over 40 years. I, too, in the beginning would pronounce the Esbats & Sabbats incorrectly. I'm self taught ( solitary, before computers etc.) Tomorrow October 31 is Samhain ( sow in, sounds like sow( female pig) inn) Some pronounce it Sam Haine, this would drive me nuts only because for years I too pronounced it incorrectly 😖 The pronunciation of Samhain varies depending on the Gaelic language it is pronounced in. Samhain is usually pronounced in its Irish version. So the correct pronunciation of Samhain in Irish is Sau-ihn. The first part, -Sau, is pronounced like the "sow", the female of a pig. The second syllable, -ihn, contains an "i" that is pronounced somewhat midway between an "i" and an "e" sound. It must be noted that there is another sound at the end of the word that is nearly imperceptible, which is a sort of elided "ye" sound, as heard in the audio pronunciation. Adding that sound, the pronunciation of Samhain becomes Sau-ihn(ye), where the -ye is basically just the initial pronunciation of the "y". It resembles a shorter "ñ" sound like the word "piñata". So if you pronounce the "n" in -ihn as an "ñ", but stopping midway through it you achieve the proper pronunciation of Samhain in Irish, which would equate to Sau-ihñ. Resource: https://www.pronounceitright.com/pronunciation/samhain-15220 Anyway just my two cents. Happy Samhain, dont forget to light your ancestor candle!! Bright blessings P.S I like to crochet, either that to sit in the sunshine and Clear my mind ( I live in south central georgia do we get plenty of sun 🌞) 🌛
  • Coloring helps me feel calm. I try to always carry a coloring book with me for just that reason.
  • @Momzahippie
Painting calms me down when I'm able to do it. Thanks for the video! I learned a few things :) Samhain Blessings to you!

the drawing-telling concept is literal therapy.

I just saw the wicker man and this video helped me understand it better with the symbolism in it! Music calms me down
  • Beautiful picture, love the ink and shades of copic. For me, I feel more relaxed when I can take time for myself and do art.
  • Merry Meet and Blessed Be. I love your art. The things that I like to do to relax, are spend time with my five animals. I have a dog, three cats and a ferret. I also love to read, knit, crochet, write, listen to music, take a bubble bath, meditate, draw or do art. There are a lot of things I love to do, just not enough time to do them. Have a very Happy Samhain. Blessed Be.

it's also called summer's end! i'm going to be making some cidery samhain bread to give my grandfather and probably do a small drawing (he was an artist, too!) and/or note to burn in offering to him. i might also offer some things to my friends qinni and scotty, also wonderful artists, also wonderful in life. i don't have a lot of relatives i remember that've passed, though i'll make sure to have enough bread for my momma to offer up to her grandmother.
  • Love the art! Good description of Samhain. I would very much like to try the CBD oil. Suffering from extreme anxiety disorder, it’s nice to find natural products that might help. Art and quiet music help to keep me calm as much as possible. Blessed Samhain.

Beautiful artwork & thank you for the educational insight 🎃 I've always loved Autumn & Halloween and the idea of remembering your loved ones/ancestors has always struck a chord with me. I'm currently running a D&D campaign for some friends and I'm planning on holding a Samhain/Halloween themed one (as one of my friends is a pagan/witch) and I'm really looking forward to it - perhaps I'll use some fairies/pixies/brownies causing mischief as a plothook alongside an Autumnal festival 😁
