Mechanical vs Industrial Engineering : Which is BETTER?

Published 2022-05-22
A lot of students struggle to choose the "right" engineering major because of many factors. Common ones include the following:
1. You have yet to discover what you like and dislike.
2. There are so many disciplines that overlap and are difficult to understand without the necessary resources and guidance.
3. Your interests lie in a plethora of areas i.e. both mechanical or chemical engineering.
4. You are worried about things like job security, salary, etc.

The goal is to help anyone who is having trouble deciding between two very attractive majors - MECHANICAL and INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING - and who wants to learn more about these two disciplines.

One of the most comprehensive videos I've seen on Youtube for industrial engineering. My school didn't offer industrial engineering, so I went with mechanical, but I always wondered if they were the same thing. Your explanation was clear-cut and to the pointđź‘Ť
