How is China's Economy doing? They’re facing a Real Estate Crisis, with real prices for property on a downward trend and now they’re facing Deflation for the first time in quite some time, and their stock market has shrunk considerably over the past year, losing more than $6 trillion dollars in value since the peak in 2021.

I take a look at the data and give you my two cents on how China is doing. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

In light of the ongoing global economic crisis, it is crucial for everyone to prioritize investing in diverse sources of income that are not reliant on the government. This includes exploring opportunities in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the challenging economic situation, it remains a favorable time to consider these investments.

They have been crumbling since 2012, so when is it?
  • When prices fall in China, production doesn't go down. All that happens is that fewer of the goods produces are consumed domestically, so there's more to export. This means balance of trade improves and the Chinese continue to stack cash while getting cheaper and cheaper consumer goods. It leads to a much, much stronger Chinese economy. The only problem China has is its massive debt load. That screws everything up, because deflation makes the debt unserviceable.

In light of the current economic trends indicating a potential downturn in the stock market and an impending recession, coupled with falling inflation rates, investors are advised to consider diversifying their portfolios. Exploring alternative assets such as gold and crypto trading would be a strategic move to hedge against the expected market volatility and inflationary pressures. This approach is crucial in navigating the complex financial landscape shaped by fluctuating Federal Reserve policies and the broader economic climate........Amidst this the insights of a knowledgeable guide like Linda Wilburn can be crucial. Her expertise in navigating the nuances of cryptocurrency investments has been the key to understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends...managed to grow a nest egg of around 4 b,tc to a decent 21 b,tc in the space of a few months.

It was interesting to see how their spending has changed on my recent trip to Hong Kong. Most mainlander visitors were day trippers (it seemed) and the stores seemed to cater more towards the limited western visitors. I hadn’t seen that for over a decade, so it definitely felt like the tide turned on consumer habits and vacation spend.

I love the content you cover. I feel my blood pressure go down from your down to earth approach of everything.

    Incredible video very informative

Youth unemployment usually is higher. The US is the anomaly for having lower youth unemployment, not China for having high youth unemployment. India's youth unemployment is about as high as China's, but no one talks about that due to lack of economic and political threat and interest (less so than China at least).
  • If Nvidia is worth more than the entire Chinese stock market, then the main problem is not the Chinese stock market
  • @CharleneCong
Over the past 10 years, there's always a disconnect between China's economy and China's stock market. Economy was growing so fast however the stock market has been so disappointing. Now with the slowdown of the economy in the country, curious to see how the stock market will perform over the next few years!! Great video:)

Incredibly informative video. Tbh I don't watch your channel often because a lot of it is very typical finance advice, but China's economy is something I've been wanting to learn more about. More content like this plz!
  • Hey Hump, great macroeconomic content. What are your thought on China's transparency? The facts we have are that they have stopped publishing a lot of stats which seems on par on their meticulous control of internal narrative. Their global real estate interests seem immense, I was just hearing about their foothold on cobalt mining in the Congo. Best.

Does anyone else think that maybe Nvidia is kind of overvalued at this point?? how long is it gonna take for another company to make the same basic chip?

5% gdp growth after popping both property and stock bubble is phenomenal. So basically they juiced their manufacturing so much such that gdp stayed at 5%. So their manufacturing is actually rocketing right as their imports crater, and replaced by domestic goods.
