I think my Minecraft account is banned forever lol

Update: after 4 years and 11 tickets to Mojang support, we got it back

This man was actually playing Skywars while talking instead of just using a random recording of rounds he did, and adding commentary over it. I sense strong Gigachad energy from you, Parker

10 years later, rekrap tracks down the employees that denied him his minecraft account. And they are never seen again.

Something I would like to know is how did Mojang not think of this scenario and what to do if it happened.

I actually had this same issue. In 2020 my minecraft account had been hacked, and to get my account back I needed to verify ownership of the game. Problem is, the game was bought for me by my father, back in like 2009 or 2010. We didn't have transaction IDs or anything.

They asked me 4 questions to verify my account: "In what city and country did you register the account?", "What month and year did you register the account?", "What was the original email address registered with the account?" and "What was your internet service provider (ISP) at the time of account registration".

I was pretty vague with the month and year, as i gave them like 3 different months but they were able to get me verified and get my account login reset, transitioned over to a mojang account, and all ready and waiting for the microsoft transition.

If you want a name to mention to support, tell them Ranma helped a player in this same way on September 8, 2020.

I wish you could just tweet at Minecraft or Jeb or any other Minecraft dev telling them about your situation and saying "Is my YouTube channel Name proof enough?"

I feel like Microsoft is just ruining it. I couldnt log on, then it told me i have to be 18 to play multiplayer. Ok so i couldnt change the date of my birth for some reason. So like an idiot i had to create a new Microsoft account, put my age as 18+ and then add my main account to the family and allow the family to be able to play everything without restrictions. So stupid and just complicated.

if my account was made like months earlier than it was, I would've had the same problem

also ex IT worker here the fact that the lunar client login worked for as long as it did is hilarious but without access to the original email it was signed up with, aside from getting in touch with some higher ups wherever Mojang did their account storage and management at the time, there's not terribly much you can do it's just a really unfortunate quirk in the systems and how they deal with legacy account verification
