  • As a dodger fan, hearing Vin’s voice again after all these years brought a tear to my eye. Vin would be so proud of What Joe’s done as the voice of the dodgers.
  • You can see Joe's emotions and the entire room is silent listening to a legend, chills.
  • Even when leaving a voicemail, he had a rhythm and cadence that will never be matched (Vince also literally hung up the phone!)

Win for Vin. Thanks Joe, so many people just got all choked up.
  • Vin's voicemail? Absolutely priceless. What a treasure you have there, Joe. And by the way, you are truly a worthy successor.

Dude, that was emotional to hear Vin’s voice in the voicemail. Thank you for sharing that with us Joe. Vin is a national treasure.

Man Vin Scullys voice is perfect for welcoming someone to the ball park

Rangers fan here. Joe's calls in game 1 of the World Series still gives me chills when I hear them. Seager's homerun and Garcia's game winner in extras. His voice is a gift. Vin's voice mail is a treasure.

Joe Davis will one day be one of the greatest sports broadcasters to ever call baseball...mark my words. His voice has always been iconic and his sense of humor in the booth is perfectly suited for his role. Every time I watch a home dodger game, it's comforting knowing hes calling the games with Orel. Keep doing what you're doing Joe, we love you in LA man!

I definitely would make so many back-ups of that voice mail. It's a once in a lifetime type of treasure. It's sad to think there's so many young fans out there who'll never get to experience a Vin Scully broadcast live. Probably the best part of watching through those years of their struggles in the earlier part of my life.
  • @Smouse168
Damn. Hearing that made me emotional

I'm not a Dodgers fan, but I used to listen to Dodgers game before Vin retired. I loved the way he was able to paint a picture of the game and make you feel like you were right there next to him. Like he was telling just you this story. Listening to that voice-mail took me back to those times. It was truly serendipitous that he sent it the call to voice-mail because he has a little something that not a lot of people have.

Wow, you realize how impactful someone you've never met in person is, when you well up just hearing their voice. Thank you Joe.

That voicemail is priceless! Just to hear Vin’s Voice again is just wow! Joe Davis I hope you are nothing less than a success filling huge shoes! But to have Vin leave you that message is really special!

Wow! Brought tears to my eyes. I never met VIN but when he passed away I cried l😢like a baby. I’m sure you cherish that recording. That is something that no one will ever take away. I heard it in your voice after you played it. Man I miss Vin.
