How to EASILY Beat Ruin Serpent in Genshin Impact - Free to Play Friendly!

The Ruin Serpent is a new world boss introduced in the Genshin Impact 2.6 update. The boss is in the Serpent's Cave area of The Chasm: Underground Mines, which needs quest progress to access.
As a whole, this boss is easy. Simply stay behind it at a small distance away and you will dodge most of its attacks. The trouble comes with the vortex move and its requirement of having at LEAST a LEVEL 2 Lumenstone Adjuvant. Without a Level 2 Lumenstone Adjuvant, you cannot purify the Oozing Concretions that it spawns and uses for attacks. The vortex move is simple to dodge as long as you understand what to look out for. Whenever it is finished doing its opening attack, which can either be a dash into a tail slam or a rolling cone attack, it will either follow up with another one of those attacks, or it will burrow into the ground. If it burrows into the ground, begin sprinting to the complete other side of the arena once you see the drill tail lift up out of the ground. Otherwise, if it does another attack, you are safe.
You can get the Ouroborous achievement by purifying one of the Oozing Concretions while it is charging up its attacks, which I demonstrate in the video.

MANDATORY UNITS:
Lowkey a claymore unit since the rocks are hard to break, but a Level 2 Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget is highly recommended

Literally anyone. He is not immune to anything. Bring someone with fast burst damage though since his damage phases are short.

The problem I have with Ruin Serpent is not that it kills me, is that it takes ages for me to kill it. My characters are good with what I can get and have. Turns out my issue was how I was using the Lumenstone

Every time HoYoverse releases a new content update with a new boss, I literally sit back and wait for this man to post his guides. Actually so helpful. I've only been playing this game for about a month now. I'm adept at fighting but videos like this are super helpful as you are explaining what the steps are and how to do it. As well as what the interactions are and how the mechanics work. For that you have a follow from me. I'm only AR 35 so this fight should be fun with my level 50s.

Good news here, Sun Tzu Wei! That worm can't be in abyss due to + ooze attacks requiring the special tool to purify + Purify oozes weaken it unlike pma. -Updated: It's in abyss 2.8 😡

I use Fischl & Xiangling's skill first, followed by Ayato's skill. Barbara is back up for healing. This is one of the easier boss fights. Good luck farming for Yelan. Hopefully you have enough water crystals saved and you're hunting for magic conches.

Ive watched some of your videos and they get me out of sticky situations. You give party setups, dont waste time with pointless chatter and clearly describe all the boss phases and how to deal with them. You videos are great!

I already hate this boss. Was going good, got him to around 20% and then the serpent did that spinning/sweeping move. Wasn't able to make to dodge in time and the attack knocked me out of the arena despite not being on the edge and when I returned, the boss regenerated all its health because I take it that the game thought I had left the fight... Honestly not a bad fight but first impressions are everything. Also great guide.
