HUMILIATING MERCEDES! - 2024 BMW i4 - Review

The new BMW i4 is here in its 396 horsepower dual motor variant, the BMW i4 xDrive40i! Clocking in at $88,304.70 CAD here in Canada (around 65,000.00 USD) this BMW EV is anything but cheap, but considering the closest competitor with three stars is the Mercedes EQE, the only car we ever gave a full on "do not buy" verdict, BMW might have a chance to massively outperform its German competitors.

The i4 xDrive40i sits below the rapid BMW i4 M50, but thanks to M Sport packages and various other options this four-door sportback is no slouch either. With a 0-60 time in the mid 4s and a tail that is happy to dance a little this all-electric BMW might just be the sweet spot of the BMW i4 lineup. Can the exterior, interior, and driving dynamics convince? And is it the best German electric car that we have tested? Find out in today's review!

So, BMW i4 vs Mercedes EQE - which one are you taking? And who wants to see us review an M this summer? 👀

Been driving i4 edrive40 with M Sport package for 18 months; extremely satisfied. Even did 4500+ km across NL, DE, AT, IT, CH and back over summer. Fun to drive, comfortable and during those trips managed to push even 100+ km over WLTP (managed to hit 650km once on a single charge).
  • Tell me more about the DAPP update that's coming? What is it exactly?
