David and Victoria Beckham's Netflix documentary has received five Emmy nominations, winning the battle of the celebrity biopics with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's six-part Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan did not get any Emmy nominations.
By contrast, Beckham has been nominated for Best Documentary or Nonfiction Series, Outstanding Cinematography for a Nonfiction Program, Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program, Outstanding Picture Editing, and Outstanding Music Composition.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are having a date night at the 2024 ESPY Awards.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out at ESPN's 32nd annual ceremony honoring athletic achievement at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 11.
The ESPYs were hosted by Serena Williams, a friend of Meghan and Harry's, and the tennis legend gave the couple a shout-out in her opening monologue.
"It's well, actually only pretty often that I get to be in a room with actual royalty, and tonight is no exception," Williams said. "Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let's give it up for them."

Pat McAfee blasted ESPN’s plan to award Prince Harry the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the upcoming ESPYs.
During the “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday, McAfee accused his own network of “trying to piss people off” for honoring the Duke of Sussex with an award named after the late NFL safety turned Army Ranger.
The award is handed out to those who have made significant contributions in the world, which echoes Tillman’s legacy.
“It’s going to Prince Harry,” McAfee said. “Who I don’t even think is a Prince anymore, right? He said don’t call me that? See, why does the ESPYs do this s–t?”

Why the head of a streaming studio would pay $100,000,000 to two people, one of whom has no life experience except as a pampered Prince and the other who only has experience of being a secondary actress in a cable tv series is beyond me. Neither of them has any experience in management, producing, directing, script writing, photopgraphy, lighting, hiring or anything else related to tv production. It was an outrageous decision for a CEO and bound to fail.

Doubt anyone's going to fired, there's a few months left in the contract. What Netflix will do is go ahead with the cooking show and this polo documentary in an attempt to recoup losses. Whether Netflix chooses to pick it up and air it is another story. Whether Netflix releases these productions to the duo to peddle to other companies is also up to them. They might just throw it in the vault for 5-10 years til they decide to use it. Spotify cut it clean, which was why Meghan was able to peddle archetypes to Lemonada. They may not have that with Netflix. They are only paid for what they produce with a share in profit of these productions. Netflix owns them. They haven't even put a dent of the 100 million potential of that contract that required content. Netflix won't renew.

That documentary from Germany was apparently threaten of being sued if the released it so now the Germany documentary people is now talking to there lawyers to see what the can say without being sued before they release it
