Nanning, a city in southern China near the Vietnam border, is capital of the Guangxi region.
With a warm tropical climate, it's known for green spaces such as People's Park, which includes expansive White Dragon Lake, a hilltop fort and a botanical garden.
Displays at the Guangxi Museum include hundreds of bronze and copper drums, important artifacts of the region's indigenous people.
Historically, Nanning was famous for trade, and had permanent business offices from other areas in China since the Song dynasty. In the Ming dynasty Nanning developed into an economic center of the Zuo River and the You River with the reputation of "Little Nanjing".

Ancient Chinese writings still play an important role in modern times as the bible of the Japanese, and even Oda Nobunaga learned from Han Fei. i visited Nanning city in 2019, when coming this city i felt shocked to see how it beautiful,clean,safe modern and futuristic was, CHINA and communist Party did good job to develop the economy,build the bright future for chinese. حب كبير جدا في قلبي اتجاه الصين اتمنى يوما ان يصبح بلدي مثل الصين لقد عانى بلدي كثيرا من الحروب والقتال وسيل الدماء فأنا من مواليد 2000 فتحت عيني على الاحتلال الامريكي ثم بعدها اكملت طفولتي على حرب اهليه ثم مراهقتي في حرب الانفجارات ثم فترة شبابي حرب داعش ثم ايام نضجي المظاهرات بعدها كارونا الى حد 2022 رأيت اول سنه بحياتي بلدي يستقر من الحروب اتمنى يوما ما يدخل الأعمار في بلدي واراه شامخاً بين البلدان الله يحفظ الصين ويبارك في شعبها

I lived in Nanning for 4 years during 2013~2017. I witnessed the opening of a new airport, the first high speed rail, (new) Nanning East Station, first metro line and many more. It’s still mind blowing to see this development after 6 years since I left!

Guangxi was ranked 3rd lowest in GDP per capita by 2021, even lower than that in Xinjiang. Therefore, it's been given high attention on the economic development from the central government, owing to its autonomous region status. Currently, the cent govt. is pushing forward the development of Beibu Gulf Economic Rim, aimed at enhanced China-ASEAN cooperation with Nanning has been designated as the China-ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone. As an Indonesian, I'm looking forward the cooperation prospect between our countries🙏 I heard that Huawei's helping develop our IT infrastructure and tech R&D, assisting our transition toward IoT-based economy and advanced Industry 4.0 capacity. Iirc it's already going on in Thailand and Malaysia, hopefully we'll start to keep up with our neighbors there😊😆

Max, this is truly a garden paradise on earth. It is so amazing that progress in the last decade has propelled all major Chinese cities to become beautiful green and clean places where great new architecture has replaced much of the old and dirty buildings. Nanning should be so proud of this video which has showcased its fantastic urban landscape.
